So what's up with caldari fuel skyrocketing so high? Another ice blockade?

Seems like liquid ozone is on the rise aswell.

Seems to me that fuel block prices have been depressed for a while and now they're hopefully starting to bounce back.

When the stockpiles start to run out fun things happen.

Lower supply with Oddyssey. Most stockpiles diminishing. Once it reach a high enough price a few of the bigger players will release a lot and will go down for a little while, then push back up to the new equilibrium

Looking at the price jump it doesn't seem like a "slowly diminishing supply". It looks more like someone bought a huge chunk of isotopes in one go. If the supply isn't cut entirely, the price should rise slowly and definitely not ~25% in one day.

Price doesn't show that at all, you have to check volume to see whether anything was abnormal. I'm not at home right now, so I can't.

That said, it's entirely possible for something to deplete and spike in price the way nitropes did without excess volume being purchased. Sellers cluster around a price point and war within that price point, demand exceeding new supply eventually eliminates the supply at that price point, and then you get a big jump in price. Whether the spike is sustained or not depends on how quickly buys fill in, and in this case they filled in very quickly.

I think there are more Caldari towers (and Rhea's) than others so Nitrogen stocks might run out faster. There seem to be enough sell orders at ~800, so it should flatten out until those stocks are sold.

Perhaps ice anoms aren't getting mined out as fast as previous theorycrafting suggested and, overall, we're getting less than that pre-Odyssey 80%.

I'm sure Dr. Eyjo will have some interesting numbers at some point.

I am going to post them in the next days. Those who will choose to not look at price in its face, they will suffer the consequences.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that thousand of new POS need to be fueled in Fountain....

The towers were there before too, so nothing changed, only goons are now buying the cubes, not TEST.

And for sure, TEST being a charity alliance has handed over the fuel needed by all these POS, so goons not needed to buy anything on their own.

here's why:

Quote:
From: directorbot@goonfleet.com/d6cf2e40 Subject: all-all Message: If you haven't been hanging out in Jabber and getting -all- the hints, we are officially rolling out into Caldari highsec for an ice interdiction beginning on or about August 18 and running for a month, give or take. https://goonfleet.com/index.php?/topic/186574-interdiction-nitrogen-burns-august-18-september-18-2013/

For those who have never been on an ice interdiction, it is a madhouse of tears, laughs, broken promises, and lots of po-leece. Like most forms of highsec ganking, it is enjoyable to the certain flawed personality types that Goonswarm pilots commonly find themselves with. First-timers are very much welcome.
