What Us Ice "Pubbies" Need to Do About "Goonswarm Shrugged"

Option A there is no practical response to GS intifada against miners in which case GS are carebears who won't fight anything that might win.
Option B effectice tactics are economically unfeasible.
Pick one.

I've spent a bit of time in Gallente ice belts recently, as several Goons in this thread will attest.

Free piece of advice: You're doing it wrong.

Also: Your advice is terrible.

I cant think of many things more boring to do than mining ice just to break even on expenses

Occasionally we 'Pubbies' get lucky. Today, one of my alts killed a Goon who was foolish enough to attack a mining ship with drones deployed. The Goon Alpha'd me, but didn't take me out and gave my drones, and Concord, a precious few seconds to respond. Concord hit him as he killed my ship, but while that was happening, one of my drones got in a lucky last shot and killed him. We killed each other at the same time. I have a KM where I'm the killer, and a KM where I've been killed.

Frankly, the Goon who let a mere miner kill his ship should be kicked from the Goons, but that's for the Goons to decide.

That all being said, Well Done to the Goons for doing what they said they'd do, and meaning what they said. I have only respect for that.

Protip: you're marked as "final blow" if you did any damage/offensive action to a player who was killed by NPCs

Any KM with a mining vessel is a win. Every KM with a mining vessel is a win. I mean I don't mine. But if you killed something with a hulk you win Eve. unequivocal. The only thing you have to fear is the man who got a kill in a Valator. For he hath balls of iron swaying gently tween his ankles...

In the 5 or 6 years playing this game, off and on, I have never seen a sorrier excuse of an alliance than I have now.
Even BOB was not as ignorant as you trying to pretend your a PVP alliance who's only skill is hitting miners that can not hit back.

Been considering playing the game again. Might still do so, Go back to making the ships every one will lose.

Exactly his point! Goons are physically incapable of PVP.

Actually, any ganked miner who has drones out and set to aggressive will score a Goon KM. It's literally automatic. Mindless. Miners who do not get killmails are simply doing it wrong (e.g. no drones, not set to aggressive), or possibly their bot is ********.

The ice interdiction has cost Goons hundreds if not thousands of killmails. You belittle their PVP chops, fine. But how far would your alliance go for a critical strategic advantage? Would they suffer thousands of losses in a predictable sec-destroying meat-grinder over the course of months?

Anyone who doesn't see the ice interdiction as the game's single greatest player achievement has no perspective.

This thread makes me want to take my main out to mine and see how many goons I can beat and take
my alt out to see how many miners I can gank. Why don't we
just go do something else? Trying to outwit
each other is just too much fun.

Is it possible to do jet-can mining? Have a bunch of industrials or other smaller/faster ships with expanded cargoholds near the barge and aligned to different stations. Have a fleet of smaller cheaper ships that have tracking/warp disruptors orbiting further away from the barge to try and contain the goonswarm and give the other ships enough time to warp out.

I have no idea how long it takes for a mining barge, an industrial or other smaller ships to warp out once they're aligned. Less than 3 seconds? Would that be enough time?
