i saw some ads about star-citizen, details and graphics are so much better than eve at the moment, in 2 years time does ccp have any plan also massive increase the game details; or even make graphics much better than star-citizen?

I believe EVE has come a long way with its graphics.

Ofcourse there is a natural progression with the graphics, but I believe gameplay should be top priority

Other games may have really good graphics, but do we really need it?. I would say no. If you want a 'pretty' game then you are better off playing singleplayer game.

No game I know of compares to EVE in any way.

A little bit of graphics are thrown in with every major patch. It's been a long slow upgrade. I'd say EVE is pretty damn sexy for a game thats 10 years old.

I don't want better graphics.

It will make the game harder for people (who didn't waste their student loan money or daddy's credit cards on a gaming computer) to play this game. Lower graphics means more of us can actually play.

Also, it helps with processing requirements in massive battles.

I keep hearing so much freaking stuff about Star Citizen being an EvE killer. It's not, the game is a multiplayer or single player. Max limit of up to 100 players. It's not an MMO since it's not actually going to be that massive. It'll be mostly along the same lines as Star Conflict with almost but not quite farena battles. If they ever manage to make a game that can support the same amount of people in a massive EvE fight and have it be first person cockpit view with fighters or from a bridge then I am sold. I did buy into Star Citizen because when it does come out it will be a good game. But, it does not and will not be an EvE killer.

Edit: Add in that there will most likely be some official servers with the majority being player run ones.

There's graphics behind the spreadsheets?

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Wack all the graphics settings to the highest setting.
EVE is pretty.

Personally I love the graphics in EVE, they're a damn sight nicer (and less cartoony) than WoW. Big smile

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

I am absolutely stunned by graphics in TES:Skyrim, it's so marvellous, I feel like I live in that world.

I also play Dwarf Fortress.

Now this IS a not-so-stealth plug for SC. What is this doing in EVE New Citizens? The question doesn't come from a new citizen - the OP has been here since 2012.

There are suggestions about an optional high-res texture pack being released.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.
