Eve Client choking internet connection

For some time now, my internet connection is completely Chocked when the Eve Client is running (just 1 client). Without eve started i have 100 Mbit download speed, when i start the client and just sit in the station, it ginds down to 2 Mbit.

Anyone who has experienced the same issue before and knows a solution? its really annoying as it also interferes with other applications like Teamspeak, breaking up voicechat all the time.

I just cannot imagine eve consuming 98 Mbit while sitting idle in a station.

Tried reinstalling the client... but did not fix it. Tried turning on or off Q.o.S for the Network Card and Router, but no solution.

I am surprised to hear of this, as I have always found the EVE connection to be one of my lowest users of bandwidth. Does it also use a lot of bandwidth when out of station?
