Right click the game you wish to run with the card and press "Run using Radeon

EVE has some issues with Radeon cards. (Yes it does stop crying people).

You should go into the grafix setting and I believe there is a shader box you should drop from high to medium. I had to do that on one of my machines with a Radeon card. Fixed it right up....

But I then got a pile of worse problems with the next EVE release. Took out the card, set it on fire and bought a Nvidia card. Never had a problem again...

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

Try some of the other settings one at a time and see if it helps. If you put in a petition they will probably have a similar answer for you...My problem was that every ship was showing up as a horrible shade of red. Planets too...

Wait a minute. I just realized you said originally it shows you are using Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000. This is weird since you have a Redeon card. It may be that you have to enable the Radeon card over the onboard graphics but that seems really wrong Ive never heard of that happening...

Make sure you have the latest Catalyst drivers installed for your card.

Could be something like this?

Also, please use sentence structure. It will help us understand your problem and what you have tried already. I had to reread several times to get everything right. P

EDIT: I realized that NVIDIA, I think yours has similar software. Someone already mentioned looking to see if it was installed.

Additionally, a laptop model would help.

Eve by default runs on the Intel 4000 card. As said, right click on the desktop>configure switchable graphics and switch eve to high performance. Also, I would recommend getting a cooling pad with the best airflow you can... these Chronos 7 laptops are beautiful, but they get HOT!

That's the series. Do you have a specific model number?

Example: NP700Z5AH

Just trying to narrow down to help.

Also, look here:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/samsung/716957-samsung-series-7-chronos-graphics-card-help-needed.html

Perhaps updating drivers as well.

EDIT: The TL;DR version is this: If the laptop has "high performance graphics" selected it will use the dedicated graphics chip, even though it reports using the Intel HD graphics (there is a comment about selected drivers VS chip report). That being said, you might not be doing anything wrong, but may require a driver update for your card.

I do know my 7870 on my desktop has issues with a few graphics in the game. Specifically when large amounts of bombs explode, my secondary display turns yellow (but can still see the UI) for a brief time, then returns to normal.

Maybe try to restart the computer after the switch, or see if Samsung has updated drivers. for you model (The model number is on the bottom of the laptop.)

It is possible that the laptop was always using the AMD graphics, and the GPU is malfunctioning due to heat or other factors. check by setting power saving to enable the Intel GFX.

Have you got any graphics intensive games eg stalker or crysis?
