I really like this idea. I like the idea of being able to advertise corp/website/serviceon billboards and/or CQ in a given system.

Being able to bid on advertising for a day or a week would be a good idea.

A bit like office rental but on a shorter term expiry and the advertising slots just cycle round over and over on the billboards/CQ.

I actually really think i'd like to see something along these lines. I think the biggest issue for things like this is the time and general maintenance it would require.

but just imagine, if when in CQ you could have a video news feed, with things like battle reports that used to get written up and up in the news feed nobody reads when they login. or if you don't use CQ then just have it as like a little picture in picture when you dock.

essentially a channel much like the 24hr news channels of RL. It would be amazing to have, but the time and effort just makes it not worthwhile sadly. :(

i'll continue to dream of the day i can abandon my real life and just listen to what eve tells me to do.

It's nice to see this idea is finally getting some attention again. People's responses are almost always unanimously positive.

I approve!

DOn't put them in the ship hangar, as that is supposed to be a low resource space, but CQ definitely, and on gates certainly. On certain stations is a nice idea too, though a little more art resource intensive.

The process of choosing which advert to display will need to be automated if CCP wants to do it, and individual adverts will need to be approved, therefore each new image/vid will need to cost a lot to get approved or CCP will be swamped.

I like the idea of nullsec entrance warnings.

I like the Idea of cleaning up gate grids.

Plex per advert? per week of run, within a single region

Something like that, but I was thinking more along the lines of a separate, single cost for each ad you make, in order for it to be screened for untasteful content etc. Once approved, that ad may be run as many times as you want for as long as you want. This process obviously requires human eyes looking at the ads, which the corp must pay for via PLEX.

I think it would be great to have the ads targeted to specific gates rather than whole regions, though presumably the higher resolution for ad targeting, the more expensive such a system would be for CCP to set up and maintain.

I came here from GD from OP's sig. I like the idea, I'll add what I mentioned in the GD thread: CCP put up the slots, depending on where it is there will be more and/or it will be more expensive (Jita/Amarr) and maybe even have it so nullsec alliances could set up their own billboards in potential places where battles will happen. Naturally they can be destroyed.

I support this idea 100% full.
Also make Jita 4/4 look like the master tradehub that it is. An impressive sight on arrival.

Good idea. The gate billboards really need to be much larger and higher resolution too.

If they get larger put them on a none-celestial\station alignment route. Nothing worse than smacking into a Billboard in a Hauler\Transport\Freighter. Shocked

EDIT: Hell make sure this put in any way even if they don't get larger.
