Best AT match to introduce someone to Eve?

So I ended up chatting with a guy at work about AT and Eve after I was watching match videos on youtube at lunch.

Are there any matches people would particularly recommend for someone who doesn't know Eve? I've been trying to note if there are any that are particularly light on Ewar since that would be harder for them to pick up.

The other thing that just occured to me is if CCP or a knowledgeable fan has considered editing over one of the matches to put in a scrolling subtitle or somesuch that explains the jargon.

Otherwise, I'm thinking of sending him one of the Rooks'n'Kings videos since they usually combine explanation with storyline.

Trying out all the things to do here in Eve - it's quite a checklist. So I made a blog Jakob's Eve Checklist

Idk it would take 3 hours of explaining before someone understood what was going on... that said the last RvB match, the one with the Gnosisesii, seems like it would kind of fit the bill...

The RvB Match is a good one because SOME are newer players. Good way to get in to eve I guess.

I would suggest verge of collaps vs outbreak.
It's a good exemple of how superior strategy (by real skills, not ingame skills) can turn a battle around.

How about clear skies?

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up deciding not to start with the AT videos and instead did send him links to two Rooks and Kings - Ironclad and Clarion Call 3. He was impressed with the intensity and complexity of the game evident in those. Next time we have time to chat about non-work I'll see if he's up for more. If so the AT might be a good next step, though it is always filled with jargon that we're used to but will be baffling to an outsider.

I have noticed in some of the recent matches sometimes the commentators explain a bit more, like the idea of cap pressure.

Show him the match where PL loses an utu to Initiative, will give him an idea of how important this game can be to some.

This is something important to me as a commentator. Not just to explain what's going on to those who are less familiar with the intricacies of EVE PvP, but to do it in a way that isn't boring and doesn't bore the veteran players at the same time. It's a hard bill to fit. It's also something CCP are very aware of in terms of improvements that can be made down the line. The trouble is that it's very hard to show everything that's happening on the screen, but they've got some good starts to solving that already in development.

In any case, I do try to keep this stuff in my mind while commentating and try to explain at the very least in terms that someone who has played EVE for a few weeks and undocked, ratted, or even done a little bit of PvP will understand.
