Is there any benefit to choosing one corporation over another for running missions? For example, will the Carthum Conglomerate corp have different items in its loyalty store than Emporer Family?

Yes they do. this might help you decide on a corp to run for.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

Some corps are better with the LP store and some are better because they have some lv4 agents in the same system (like ministry of internal order. 2 agents lv4 in 0.5)

Based on the first link you shared, it looks like the Emporer Family is a pretty good choice for an explorer. There are a lot of exploration boosters available.

You mean the implants? You'd be surprised how widespread those are.

In general, you're usually better off liquidating your LP at the best available rate and then using the ISK to buy things for yourself. The conversion rate of implants is fairly steady but also fairly low, so you end up coming out ahead. But each to their own.

Figure out if you want to run missions or blitz missions first. If you want to blitz find out what you want to sell first, and look that up on the market and see how many of those items sell and for how much. Then get the best (lowest sec) agent you can find.

If you are going to completely kill and salvage the missions just find the most convenient one(s).

Also remember that once you start to get standing with a particular race, even if you don't fly missions for a certain corp, you will eventually have access to them. In that case you can find 5 agents in 2 neighboring systems and never have to worry about declining, which is better than 2 in a .5 IMHO.
