Hey all, I just finished all of my military tutorial missions and now I want to continue to do L1 missions and start advancing but do not know where to start. I know there are L1 agents where I am ( Gallente Space) but don't know which to do. For example I see sisters of Eve or something to that effect. I alos do not know which type of missions to run as a noob. Please point me in the right directions. Thanks...

Sisters of Eve is a good place to start. You can also pull up the agent finder while docked inside a station. Hope that helps.

You can either do l1 missions or mining in high sec for now.. establish a steady income earner. Use the destroyer you got for l1 missions.. make sure to research some cheap fittings before you run it blindly into a mission. Losing it costs around 1 mil isk.

Once you are more comfortable then get a bigger ship and you have more flexibility in what to do next.

Im pretty new myself only 8 days old.. I researched a lot and thats the general advice I was given

What I need most.. is a day between Saturday and Sunday...

use the agent finder
open the filters

set agent type to security

invest a little SP training into some Social Skills, you don't really need to go over L4 in any of these

I would recommend working for the agents of 2 factions
eg Caldari & Federation Navies
or follow the information in "the plan" there's a link for it somewhere, should be searchable.

Step 1: Join a corp that operates in highsec
Step 2: Fit a ship for PVP
Step 3: Hold your corpmates ransom. (It is legal to shoot corpmates in highsec).
Step 4: Honor your ransom. You now have hundreds of millions of ISK to get started on a career in EVE. If you only managed to get tens of millions, return to Step 1.

I forget how to search for agents in game. Here are a few links that will help you once you are ready to start moving up the Agent ladder

Regardless of what you'll find fun in the end running some missions is always a safe way.

You might ponder rejecting anti-faction missions (as in missions that require you to chop up ships from any of the 4 major factions) until you know what you want to do. (You can reject one mission every 4 hours with no loss in standings, just grab another agent for the time).

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I've been playing for a little over 2 months now. The Agent Finder is a great tool, it took me almost 6 weeks of playing to realise it existed.

When you complete missions for agents, you not only get money (ISK) and a reputation boost, you also get "Loyalty Points". The mission text will tell you how many points you wil earn in the mission text that tells you what the mission reward will be. Each agent belongs to a corporation. The loyalty points you earn from a mission can only be spent with that corporation. Let's say you complete a mission for the Quafe corporation and you get 100 LP's. You can only spend those LP's on items that the Quafe corporation has to offer, you cannot convert those LP's to use them at another corporation.

So, about my first 6 weeks before I found the Agent Finder tool. I just travelled from one station to another and did any mission I found. I now have LP's with lots of corporations, but only in small amounts, eg 132 points with corporation A, 207 points with corporation B, 191 points with coproration C, etc. Having your loyalty points spread across lots of corporations in small amounts is actually a pain in the backside. You're better off picking a small number of corporations and doing their missions. You can use those points to get decent gear, like better ammunition, better equipment for your ships, better ships, better implants, etc.

If your loyalty points are spread across a lot of different corporations in small amounts, you really cant use them to get anything useful. Exactly which corporations you should concentrate on depends on your personal preferences. The Agent Finder tool will not only show you which corporation each agent is with, but which system the agent is in and what type of missions that agent offers.

You will repeat the same missions even if you go to different agents at different corporations. The game only has a limited list of different agent missions, and all agents get their missions from that same list. You will and up re-running the same missions multiple times no matter which agent you go to, the main objectve of the game is to compete with/against other players, not against the game itself.

The point I'm making is that if you want to use loyalty points effectively, stick to running missions for only a small group of corporations, that way you won't spread your points out in small useless amopunts like I was doing for the first 6 weeks or so.

You should keep in mind that if you do this you might have difficulties joining a corp later, depending on how much research the recruiters are willing to do.

Not saying that you should not do it since its a valid "career" in EVE, but you should be aware over the potential consequences, so i would suggest that you do this with an alt or similar that cant be traced back to you.

Would also like to add in that Sisters of EVE is a good place to start, and you might want to look into EVE university which is a training corp for new players.

Good luck Smile

im pretty new myself and from what i can see the best thing to do is do the sisters of eve mission ark. then move into mining for a while. i intend to generate as many forms of passive income at the same time by doing some planetary interaction and tech 1 manufacturing. i mean its totally possible to mission while your waiting for jobs to be done right?

also as a beginner iv discovered that theres a lot to be said for low sec mining in really out of the way systems lol. now to work on my refining...

Does any one in your corp run missions? Team up with a few of them. If the corp is any good they will give you great advice, fits, support, access to higher lvl agents...
