Is this big war bringing changes to EVE at all?

The sandbox is a lie. The only way for EVE to have a real sandbox is if they created an actual sandbox in captain's quarters for everyone to build their own sandcastles, and for the cats to **** in.

In other games, events like that battle usually have ripple effects throughout the entire game world and modify the game's story because the game developers design and run those events for the express purpose of developing the story. EVE is different for one, in that there is practically no developer-driven story. Even the cute little lore-based events matter little in the overall picture.

There are two sides to the same coin: either this is an amazing thing because you're not stuck in the role that the game story writers have created for you and you can create your own story, or it means the game is stagnant and the "create your own story" line is just an excuse to ignore a facet of game development.

As a result of this recent war,

... will there be game mechanic changes? No, unless someone was found to be abusing something more than everyone else.

... will there be story or lore changes? Nothing more than a footnote.

... will there be market changes? Minor. Over time, forced shortages may change the market profile as we saw with Tech.

... will it change how you play the game? Because there will be an increasing number of bored Nullsec players, suicide gankings in hisec may increase for a while, Lowsec and Nullsec gatecamps may or may not increase, and there may or may not be people roaming around in Low/Null looking for trouble (sadly, they won't come play with us in W-space though).

Beyond that, it's pretty much completely up to you. For better or worse.

Does everything possible to insulate himself from the effects of other players.
Complains that other players actions aren't affecting him.

Usually power blocs within nullsec don't last long enough to warrant a shift in power balances beyond null/lowsec that would influence highsec Empires. You have the buffer zone of lowsec in most areas and nullsec is just that pirate/nullsec-carebear infested no-mans-land that the Empires were too lazy to expand into and just leave it cut off by Concord.

Now, if the ClusterFuck Coalition manage to expand, let's say into Delve, but even just hold Fountain and their regions for long enough, maybe a year or two even, then I believe CCP should integrate that somehow into the lore. Empires uniting to fight the nullsec threat? A highsec dream for some (hey Harry Forever!) but highly improbable. I think we should just wait and see how things develop in nullsec. It is usually volatile enough that it balances itself out.

the CFC want to bring peace to eve, thats their plan, I've seen them hugging eachother out there, it's disgusting Lol

Maybe we need more rocks from CCP that will affect his eve online experience

No. Butterflies are a marketing gimmick.

Well this is pretty much wrong on all fronts. GBC lasted a good long while, NC lasted a good long while, CFC has lasted... a good long while. In fact the old NC/Goonswarm anti BoB community NAP/NIP that no one seems to remember controlled a chunk of space that included everything but the galactic SE and Cobalt Edge (Because no one wants Cobalt Edge.)

Onto basics.

What was this war ultimately for?
Money ( ISK ).
Where does this money come from?
Moon mining and Planetary Interaction ( i STILL don't understand why everyone still thinks it's Moon mining alone, while PI makes WAY more isk and i do mean WAY more isk ).

The CFC getting their hands on Fountain and possibly adding new alliances to their roster means:
More PI from null on the high sec market, but not more moon materials, since they will only replace what someone else was already doing.

This of course is totally beside the fact that Odyssey changed the moons around a bit, so we might actually see a slight drop in price still.

The result:
Lower prices for PI materials, meaning high sec AND low sec PI will become even more useless ( low sec won't be totally useless though ).

Expect to see a steady increase in P2, P3 materials on the high sec trade hubs ( P4's not AS much, since you need most of those for building stuff in null anyway ).

Along with the changes in ore compositions ( which WILL cause more industry to happen in null, yet STILL not on a very high scale ), which will mean price drops on higher end ores and maybe rising prices on the lower end ores ( Mexallon is an issue in null as in like BIG TIME ).

Expect to see Hulkageddon come back sooner and perhaps more often.
Ganking high sec miners, means better isk potential for low/null sec miners.

As for Delve......
Well, pushing into Delve is certainly an option that is being considered ( i presume ), but it does come with its drawbacks.
More space to cover = less people to secure each individual solar system.
Not that we as the CFC will ever win a popularity contest but it will cause more "internet pixel hate" in the long run.
The CFC would have to start trusting more people, who in turn live in the space the CFC provided.
The more people you have to trust, the bigger the security risk.
