Ship auto targets back?

I have this sometime where my ship suddenly starts targeting other people, when that happens I just unlock.
One told me I needed to go to general settings and change the auto target amount to 0. The thing is... it's at 0.

So why am I targeting other people randomly while me doing nothing to prompt it.

I am having the exact same problem, even caused me to shoot the logi ship by mistake last night.

In the general settings, target back is set to zero.

Is there another setting for this?

Are you happening to be holding Ctrl and clicking in space or on the overview at the time?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

You also need to unmap the F1 key in the options menu.

Why? Because it's assumed that anyone in Eve with an F1 button is, consciously or sub-consciously, a violent murdering crazed individual who really wants to shoot anyone, anywhere, at anytime. Disabling the "0" target lock-back is a courtesy.

Change it to something else, save, then change it back to 0 and save again. Sometimes it needs to be forced to see a change.

Don't have to be holding keys, I thought that was the case the first few times.

During the roam one logi pilot would lock me after we arrived on gate, so I simply sat back and watched for him to lock on the next gate while I was not doing a thing for sure. It auto-locked him right back.

It sounds like you either the setting is stuck, or more likely you have something highlighted in your over view and then at a later point you've pressed ctrl.

Best course of action right here.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Press ESC, General Settings

Edit: already been given good advice, not sure why this is going on but not had it happen to me.

You can disable the auto target function by holding alt and pressing F4.

Short cuts. Auto-lock on. Ctrl on or numlock key speaking or clicking in space or press the f1 key. And so on. Make sure you keys are default. Remove the F1 key set auto-lock zero also save restart eve see settings if the are not save run eve in administration mode and do the steps again.

Had it happen to me as well, I just continued to set it to 0 and I hit every save button I could find. Eventually it worked.

There's definitely a bug on duality with this

Fix for us is to set it to 1, then back to 0 for it to actually work.

this is far from a unique issue (had to repackage entire ships to get the bonuses to work).

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Do you have a list of tools that will be needed? I don't want to have to go back out once I start on this.

I do this all the time, it just activates my Scan Resolution Script Big smile

I think you mean Alt+Shift+Q

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."
