If I activate kill rights on a guy, can his gang or corp help defend him or does he have to defend against me solo?

Also, where do you go to buy kill rights? Can't find that interface.

Assuming you are not in any way flagged (other that your weapons timer and capsuleer combat timer and limited engagement for shooting the suspect) and you shot a suspect named A:

- A's friends shooting you or activating a hostile module (ECM, Sensor Damp, etc) is a Crimewatch redcard and CONCORDOOKEN in highsec. In lowsec, it would be a yellow card.
- A's friends activating remote assistance modules (remote rep, remote sensor boosters, etc) on A is a Crimewatch yellow card offense in highsec or in lowsec.

Killrights are the 'bullseye' target near the 'i' button to get more information on the pilot in question (on the same interface, can't think of its name, that has the 'orbit', 'approach' etc buttons). As with contracts, read very carefully before purchasing.

So to buy the kill rights on somebody you have to actually see them in space?

In Hisec, I wouldn't think so

But why would you need killrights in Lowsec?

Sometimes you want to podkill someone without a sec status hit. Sometimes you want gate guns to leave you alone.

If you are the owner of the killright, then it is in your Character Sheet. I think there is a sub-heading titled "Killrights". Otherwise, you do have to see them in space.

His gang can do all kinds of passive aggressive **** to you if you engage him in high sec, like bump you, bump him, remotely assist him by repairing his ship, boosting his turret tracking, optimal, and falloff, repairing his drones, supplying him with new drones, transfering him capacitor, etc., etc., etc. They might also just suicide gank you, if you are in an expensive enough ship. If you're in low sec, null sec, or w-space, they can just blow you up and pod you, outright.

I don't know who this "guy" is, but if you have to ask these questions, you're probably getting in over your head, so just remember to UPGRADE YOUR CLONE!!! after you get podded.

Good luck, capsuleer!

Or assign the rights to someone like PO3T, who can reliably do the job for you.

Edit:
On reviewing the KM, you definately want to let a pro do the job. Unless you like having your ships melted.
