lol so funny.

hey guys ill mine in my crystal set because it helps me tank rats in high sec.

You should really just look at yourself at how stupid you are for mining with a crystal set.

^^
That.
No offense really, but you should look in the mirror before judging people (especially on forums, publicly.).

Implants aren't stupid, but losing your pod in highsec to a gank (excluding smartbombs, limited stock and time offer, exclusions, terms and conditions apply Cool) is. You were either asleep or AFK if you failed to get your pod out.

But flaming miners for "being stupid" when you've been equally (or more so) yourself is somewhat lawl.

I have lost my pod in lowsec before while in the act of mashing warp after realising I was outmatched in a fight. I've also lost a pod in nullsec on a grid with no bubbles or dictors the same way.

Lag happens. And this is why I now run EVE at absolute minimum graphics settings despite having a computer than can handle dualboxing at medium settings.

But that is very different to losing a pod when AFK. In highsec, if you need to AFK for an emergency (sudden case of diarrohea, something at the door, cat catches on fire or whatever), just dock. Most systems have a station. If not, just warp to a safe spot if you have one, or a random moon if you do not, and 99% of the time you will elude who/whatever is chasing you.

Especially after last night. So last night hoping to take part in a kill before I had to hit the sack came Manna from heaven. A war target enters system. Well get this he is in a Retriever, and goes straight to a belt to mine. Well there was eight of us in system Did the idiot in question even bother to check local. Obviously not. He gets pointed and we wait for everyone to get the chance to join in. Splat goes the barge. He logged so the pod instawarped away. A corpmate scans it down. We all then hop in to rookie ships to add insult to injury to kill the pod. Oh and I finally laid my first final blow. God sometimes I am ashamed of my mining past.

Cute, you guys ganked a miner and now you're a tough guy? Good on you guys for teaching him a lesson, but don't think you're any better than him because of it Roll

Checking local is a habit you get into. He sounds like a noob to me, so I wouldn't congratulate yourself too much. His problem is his corp CEO, who obviously doesn't know what he's doing, doesn't care and nobody is looking after him for his first few months in the game. Quite a hard way to do Eve as a beginner if you ask me.

1 kill under your belt and you're calling other players stupid?

Being new to PvP you're about to do alot of supid things. Asssuming you go against actual pvpers rather than miners; you will have fits that make people shake their heads indisbelief, and piloting errors that make their eyes explode in astounishment.

I hope they show you more courtsey than you are showing some idiot miner.

This is certainly the truth. I think everyone in EVE sees things that make them cringe, whether it was seeing a Officer Railgun, buffer-fit Vindicator engage a gang off Hek station (and lose, duh), or me losing an ECM Scorpion off the Jita undock(undock fighting sux).

It is a learning experience sometimes, the question is, will you learn?

Also try shooting at something that isn't miners, I fear that eventually you will become lazy and start making mistakes against people who actually pew pew combat ships.

Is ganking a defenseless miner not lame in the first place? Roll That can hardly make you proud or satisfied about it.

My experience with miners in wars is they don't learn. They think they do by mining in a different system. Good thing you can use locator agents in this game. far as the comment about feeling good ganking miners- everyone should feel good. There is no excuse for mining in high sec without a permit.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Dilemma:
I have a KR on a perfectly silly miner. I'd love to execute it, but he's fled my AO, and I don't feel like chasing him down. Should I pass the KR over to CODE, or should I hand it to someone like PO3T?

Edit:
I earn the KR by baiting him into opening fire on my cruiser not long after I melted his mining ship. Not my proudest kill TBH, but it was necessary - He's was caught red-handed showing blatent disregard for basic survival.

LMFAO @ "Mining Permits". I think the miners should STOP mining. Pretty sure support for ganking them goes away after the mineral pool dries up, and a unit of veldspar goes for a thousand isk per. Of course, that would require some type of co-ordination between miners, so it wont happen.

But seriously, I laugh every time I see this "mining permit" drivel.

Indeed. Getting miners to cooperate is like walking to the moon: Gunna be a looooong cold journey. Hell, many won't even defend themselves, how would they ever get organized enough to make a boycot work?

And what about scab miners? The miners themseleves would have to take up ganking to stop the scabs... Which kinda defeats the whole purpose, does it not?

True. Just think of what they could do with it though. Oh well.

I guess we'll never know :P
