Bockade can get difficult with aggressive drones. Almost lost one Arbitrator when I was young. Oops

eh, I usually get Sanshas for The Blockade. Tracking disruption doesn't matter when you're engaging at 50kms anyway.

Try this fitting instead, downgrade the expansive stuff if you want. You will have no problem at all in any LvL 4 mission (don't fly against Guristas anyway) except in a Blood Raider Blockade, the neuts will force you to warp out, fit a cap booster instead of the TC. I need about 12min to kill an Angel Blockade in this ship.

Set your Mach up for sniping at 100km. Fit a MJD and an AB and just keep the rats at range. Use the MJD to get at range and the AB to keep you at range. Shoot the fast frigs first and then everything else. At 100km the damps will usually miss a lot, and you can easily one-shot or 2-shot the cruisers that damp. BS can be 3-shot, 4 if you have low skills.

Mach doesn't do well against any kind of significant ewar (ECM, TD, damping)

sounds like bad piloting to me. and if you are paying attention to aggro that shouldn't make you come anywhere near close to losing a mach.

or triggers either Oops

yep, in this mission they'll often pick the trigger battleship after they kill 1 ewar cruiser - have to keep an eye on the UI if you are going to let em go aggressive.

eh, with a mjd that really shouldn't be an issue. although if it is anything like the blood raider blockade you can move back ~20-50km and nothing that spawns can hit you.

I'm not familiar with Mach, arty usage and also shield tanking. I do this mission regularly with armor tanked Navy Mega using rails. The spawns are never random I think, spawn 2 & 4 has the dampeners. Usually will put my targeting at around 15km. What I do is just mwd close to the mobs and then manually adjust my transversal to kill the cruisers.

There is at least 1 optional battleship and frigate per spawn (except perhaps for the cruiser ewar spawn). Also there is a further optional spawn that can be faction after the mission complete. I have seen that by salvaging the pocket without handing the mission in first.

I cannot ever remember an optional frigate spawn having tackle, but then again given my firm frigates first policy, I doubt such ever got in range anyway.
