For crying out loud, make it a "charge" or "ammo." Roll

Whatever you need to do to make it considered ammo, please do your best to make it happen. Moving/storing Recons, Bombers, Black Ops or any other ship with a Cyno in a Ship Maintenance Bay has been a hassle for years.

I always have to strip the LO out of the ships before they go into any Ship Maintenance Bay, though their hulls get a bonus on LO consumption for Cyno/Covert Cynos.

I really can't think of a good argument for NOT making it considered a "charge" or "ammo"... Shocked

Help me out here, CCP!

Amen to this. Consumables should stay in cargo. Not just "specific types"

I use it when making POS fuel blaocks, its not ammo or charges for your cap boosters. Its fuel and an industrial component.

They should add fuel to the list of stuff allowed; like ammo and charges.

Well, I use it to light cynos! It's a charge! Lol

However CCP can figure it out to make it a part of the charge group, but still listing it as fuel, that needs to happen.

Boosters as well problem here would be with smuggling because of planck scanning things but that could be easily fixed and illegal drugs should just display warnings when boarding ship and undocking.

EvE-Mail me if you need anything.

Charges go into the module, such as boosters do in cap chargers, ammo in weapons system. Fuel goes into your bay. LO doesnt go into your cyno module to make it run. It is tossed into your cargo bay and used when you activate your cyno.

Its not a charge, its fuel. Add fuel to the included list. Welcome to EvE mechanics =P

If there is some technical reason that prevents it, they should just make a new ammo type that is used in cyno's. You would just build it using ozone.

That's probably a much easier way for CCP to deal with the situation.

But I agree, it's a huge pain not being able to keep them in ships in transport.

It should not be made into a "charge", as that would make it far too easy to move ridiculous quantities of it. However, adding it as a third category to what can be placed in a ship while in a maintenance bay would make sense.

Making it a charge would not have any effect on its usage in blueprints, since there are other blueprints such as faction and t2 that use item/ships in their requirement lists.

This above would be the best way IMO to deal with Liquid Ozone.

Liquid Ozone should be classified as "Fuel". Fuel should be added to the list of allowable things.

I think it's a problem with the bonuses a cyno generator can get in terms of LO consumtion. A module wich uses charges, say a gun, can consume one round/charge at a time or the the charge takes some damage (crytals be it for mining or shooting). How to do this with a cyno generator?

From my inferior perspective it might be possible to create a cyno-charge that takes damage for every activation. This would be the amount of perhaps 100% with no bonuses. With less requirements this damage might see some reduction. Let's say this goes down to 50% and this would allow a cyno to be lit twice before it has to be resupplied. This would make it mandatory to have this skill on lvl5. As far as I deem this as common knowledge there are throwaway cyno ships vastly used. This would make the reuse of a cyno charge less attractive (or possible) as these ship seem to be shortlived. In that wake the prices for LO might rise significantly and make mining ice products profitable (again) the use of bots will surely rise and the ranting against them aswell.

If you make it consume a full charge for every cyno you fire up. Every consumtion related skill, bonus, etc. will be useless as it allways consumes the whole charge. The usage and prices and (botted) mining and ranting over (bot-)miners would rise again.

The point of Sarah Stallmann is absolutely valid in my eyes. Perhaps creating a substance out of LO and another material that could be primarily located in lowsec (just a suggestion) and giving this a category ("ship maintainance products") like nanite paste and letting this stuff stay in the ship while stored in SMAs or ship holds of other ships might work and add some more options for industrialist, miners and traders aswell.

But this is just me thinking. :)

Why bother, though? The mechanic itself seems to work fine, it's just stowing the ships in maintenance hangars is the problem. No reason to over complicate things.

just change underlying code so LO and drones can go in an ammo bay, then people will haul in hoarders which are super easy to gank.
