"You are unable to align or warp to the selected object because your warp drive is unable to lock on to it."

I got this message when trying to warp to a distant asteroid belt, and also when trying to warp to a distant fw bunker. Can someone explain this to me?

No one knows what this message means?

What prevents my warp drive from locking?

IIRC This message appears when you try to warp from one location in a deadspace pocket to another location in the same deadspace pocket. So you cannot warp around within a FW complex or mission even if you are > 150km away from your destination.

I think the same error shows up if you try to warp to an object on grid (like an asteroid) that is < 150km away.

I think the same error shows up if you try to warp to something you're not allowed to, even if it's > 150km away (like players not in your fleet, drones, probes)

If you truly are warping to an asteroid belt or FW bunker further than 150km I have no explanation.

Keep your log open and spam warp to a distant/warpable asteroid belt. Give it a few tries you should get this message. Sometimes this message appears for a longer time and prevents me from warping in time. I don't know what is wrong with my warp drives.

I have not gotten this message from something that is too close to warp to. Instead I get the message that the object is "not in warp range."
