Diablo III is More Popular Than EvE

Wait, wait! Don't flame me!

I just noticed that EvE Gate is not blocked from my work routers. Diablo III and StarWars forums are blocked, along with every other game forum I know of.

So using twisted logic, Diablo III and StarWars are "more popular" as they get enough attention to be blocked by our network dudes.

Not that I'm complaining! I'm just wondering why? Why are EvE forums not blocked, but almost all other games are ???

Either let it go and enjoy having that access or ask the guys who actually manage it at your workplace and get it blocked.

I didn't think of that. I know they had a tunnel to get to Noxxic so we could do Diablo III and Starwars builds. But they got a new manager recently and that stopped about a month ago.

EvE Gate still works. And yeah, I'm noe gonna rock the boat !

Pretty sure more Eve devs play DIII than Eve.

As a matter of fact, after the last rebalance, I am positive.

The reason why Diablo III is block is because your IT guys think its ****. Cool

They also LUV EvE simple.

TBH at my work its blocked but I have a nice IT remote to home Big smile

And then it happened. Massive, eerily green blasts erupted from seemingly nowhere, and an Amarrian Apocalypse went up in flames.  "It was a Jovian Mother ship".

Tech answer pulled without prior knowledge... obviously D3/SW does not use HTTPS for their forums so the netadmin's protocol inspector catches and blocks that while it doesn't see the encrypted traffic of EVE.

However in starwars or diablo III once you reach a certain level the game is like the other games out their pointless.

Eve-Online on the other hand for training all skills to V from very first day is about 28 years, that keeps the game intresting :)

Last year my mother was being treated for cancer (she's clear now) at U of Michigan Hospital. I spent alot of hours there with my laptop, and was mildly annoyed with the filters. I could pull up game forums (here and others), but all game servers seem to be blocked. I tried Eve, Anarchy Online, Age of Conan, The Secret World, EQ 1 and 2, and even WOW. I would hate to be admitted there for any length of time myself.

Its also the reason eve-o gets blocked in some countries, simply because its not on the approved https list.
