As a Logistics V pilot, you now get to choose whether you want to bring two energy transfer modules.

Actually it's the Logi IV dude who gets to choose Straight

Oh, FFS. Does everyone here have to quibble? The implication was that as a logi 5 pilot, you'd get the luxury of flying with other logi 5 pilots. At which point you both get to fit one transfer.

I really can't get a break here, can I?

Not when you are wrong you don't. Seeing as Logi V is a rarity, you still need to take the second X-fer because your cap buddy will generally only be logi IV, and even if he isn't there will be someone in your fleet that will benifit more from your second x-fer then anything else you can put in your highs.

And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell. Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell.

It certainly hasn't been a rarity with any of the groups I've been running with. As far as I'm concerned, logi 5 is a prerequisite, not a luxury.

Well then post your proposed "utility" high slot, that out benefits the second cap x-fer?

Generally speaking, a 5th rep -- which when combined with an off-grid gang link booster will allow you to run sites with 2 logistics instead of 3.

And an extra DPS pilot is going to help a lot more than one utility high.

Assuming you can actually fit it (dont have eft handy) wouldn't the 5th rep then make you cap unstable, completely negating the dropping of the second cap x-fer?

Don't really know how you run your sites, but the only reason we bring 3 logis is to safeguard for one of the logis dropping. You can do this in other ways such as putting energy transfers on one or two of the marauders and having everyone pack armor/shield maintenance bots depending on the fleet you'r ein, but 3 logis tends to be a simpler and faster way of doing it.

If you really need 10 or more reps, I'd advice reconsidering how the rest of your fleet looks. That said, there's nothing particularily wrong with fitting 5 reps on a logi.

Oh, and logi 5 is the norm, logi 4 is the embarassing exception. Personally I find a logi without logi 5 to be as embarassing as a ship with tech one guns.

But is logistics level 5 100% perfectly stable, possible? perfect skills?

or which skills need to be maxed? t2 rigs?

what is the optimal path to a perfectly stable Basi with a level 5 logistics skill?

what exactly do we need to do is the question.

Point of fact, contrary to some comments here, the basi can be perfectly stable with no cap chain....with 6 reps even, if you throw some implants at it.

Assuming L5 skills, two 4% cap implants:

[Basilisk, Nochain]

Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter
Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter
Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter
Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter
Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter
Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter

Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II
Invulnerability Field II
Invulnerability Field II
Photon Scattering Field II

Capacitor Power Relay II
Capacitor Power Relay II

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Does work with energy management L4, though that puts it stable at 33%. Level 5 puts it at 38.6%.

T2 rigs puts it at 48.9% with all V, 40.8% with energy management and shield emissions systems at 4.

So even with logi 5 (Which I have in case i forgot to mention that) not cap stable with that fit?

Actually shield emission systems and remote energy systems at 5 it's just a little more than 10 day and means -10% cap use, also think about your navigation skills (yup that fracking helps)

Basi it's not meant to be alone, you need someone remoting your cap and so must you do the same with other guys, the second remote energy I mostly use it to remote Cynas Lol and they love it -but I don't fly in incursions.
