On my iMac I've been having one persisting issue recently, in which things like the market are incredibly unresponsive & I am constantly being disconnected from server side without any sign client side save for a complete inability to have any effect on my ship's modules (ones I've turned off keep cycling for example). Another strange side effect is it takes my whole internet down to very low speeds but only while the eve application is open. This problem persists on different accounts on the computer, even with a fresh install. I know the problem isn't router based as eve still runs fine on my macbook air. Both computers are on the same OS version, both wirelessly connected to the network.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whats the other computer? One is a MacBook Air, the other is....

Is that other computer doing anything else that involves the internet? The eve client is really really sensitive to that. Torrents are especially bad and basically cannot be running at the same time as the eve client.

iMac & it's just EVE, no torrents or anything like that.
The problem persisted on a new account with a clean install of eve (presuming the problem isn't in a settings file saves elsewhere on the computer).

I've had something like this as well, where my otherwise rock solid WiFi hiccups when running EVE. I get silently disconnected from the server (which has restricted my play to mining, mostly) or even thrown off. I usually DC from Teamspeak at the same time. When this happens, I usually have to Force Quit the launcher and relaunch it. If I'm not running EVE? No issues at all.

This is new behavior as of one of the Odyssey patches (I wish I'd kept track of which one). Prior to that, my #1 source of EVE client crashes was the memory leak, and that was less frequent and more predictable.

I'm also running on an iMac, 27", late 2012, running 10.8.

Strangely I don't seem to disconnect from TS, plus I don't believe my wifi actually drops, but the connection to the internet flatlines. The force quitting the launcher is a pain though.

I wonder how long till CCP comes to the rescue
