Minmatar PvP Pilot wants to start some PvE/Exploration

Hi Guys,

I am a mostly PvP pilot, never really bothered with PvE and would like to switch a bit to learn the way of killing rats in high sec.


I'll mostly like to run plexes I have no clue how to probe them, but I have probing skills at 4 so it will be just a matter of launching my probes and learning how to do the job.


My main problem is that I'd like to fly a minmatar HAC aka Vagabond or Muninn and I never found a good fit for exploration/pve on those ships. Is it viable to run with them?

Can you guys recommend me any fit? What are those ships limitation regarding what can be run? Can it run a 4/10?

Hold off on this plan until HACs have been re-balanced. The answer to your question will be changing shortly.

4/10's are pretty trivial in a HAC (3/10's more so) and nothing scrams so don't be afraid to experiment.

Hurricane and cyclone are pretty easy to fly in terms of 4/10s but I guess the vagabond could just as easily speed tank everything, the DPS is pretty low in 4/10s and even 5/10s tbh.

You can find fits online.

Just remember though, PvE is opposite PvP. In PvE endurance matters. You need to take moderate damage over a long period of time unlike PvP where you need to take huge amounts of damage over a short period of time (usually).

I still remember when someone asked me to link my PvE fit for a certain BS and the recipient went WTF???...his shield HP were more than my entire ships hp. Endurance! When he took his ship into PvE he couldn't run them as quickly as me.
