Question about Buying/Selling Titans and supercarriers

hey

I'm curious as to how it works?

Does the producer take the super/titan to a low sec system, exit the ship, assign a contract and wait for it to be accepted? (wouldn't it be vulnerable in this case?)

Or is a date and location set to meet up and trade? (In the super carrier case wouldn't one side be able to just warp in a bunch of titans with doomsday devices and blow it up in a matter of seconds?)

Well I do understand 3rd party services exist, but i'm trying to figure out how this works. For subcaps, modules . . . you just:

dock up >> right click>> create contract

just want to know how this is done for super caps.

Ask someone who does this for a living like Chribba or Alice Saki.

You can't create a contract for an item in space. You either build it yourself (which would take sovereignty) or someone else builds and physically transfers it to you. Obviously that's ripe for scamming, so the only viable method is with 3rd party intermediaries.

Normally the only safe way to do it is using a 3rd party service.

I've never done it myself but the process involves setting a price agreed to by both parties. The 3rd party is contacted and a time/location is setup. The 3 parties meet at the location which is normally a POS. Buyer pays the 3rd party the price and fee. 3rd party confirms payment is made. Seller then ejects and buyer boards the ship and goes off to wherever completing the selling.

I see, thanks :)

so the most expensive ships in the game trade hands in the riskiest manner, nice :D
