I just wanted to say - Great work and a big thank you to everyone at CCP.

With allmost 4 000 people in local, the node did not crash and it was possible to conduct a battle of massive magnitude.

I have no doubt it took great ammount of preparation from CCP so we, the players, could have our amazing fight of epic proportions.

Thank you once again and job very well done indeed.

EDIT:
Some info regarding the battle for those who may not eb informed of war in Fountain.

I think it worked good enough to make up for their mix-up on Z9PP

I can only imagine what local was like, did the puns coming from Reddit defeat the edgy but somehow politically correct humor of SA?

We discovered that minimizing local helped EVE run a little better, so I don't know.

I was watching movies on netflix the whole time. Every five minutes I'd tab in and shoot someone.

It was an amazing battle. I was running 4 clients and it was working fine after I had fixed my own mess. I forgot to set the clients properly so my pc froze and I had to reboot but once I had got back in and set the gfx right it all worked fine. Sure, tidi made it go slow but it was playable and the clients responded to all commands in due time.

Pro tip: Don't go into a fight with 4k in local with brackets and effects on and all clients set to "Quality" gfx even if you have decent hardware and connection.

Yesterday is probably the worst I've seen under TiDi (I mean, I was in full zoom out, minimise local, auto-repeat off, manual cycle mode, I think this is the first time i've had to do all that since the last time we took Fountain), but given the number of people in system, the fact everything held up as well as it did is massive testament to CCP's efforts.

Don't get complacent, we still want you to keep on it, as there is still plenty of niggles (personal hate, when modules wont cycle-off), but it is appreciated how far things have come.

The biggest hurdle for me and the fleet I was in, was taking the bridge and not loading (Or even being in Hophib and yet having 6VD bookmarks to warp to...). Reshipping was made pretty difficult.
Relogging was a pain too, but that might also have been a personal issue.

In the end, it was impressive that the servers could even survive. I had expected node-death.
Glorious deaths were had, thanks bros, TEST, CFC, and CCP for nursing the server all the way through.

No regrets from me!

I call bullshit.the note did not work, the tidi was at 10‰.It was so bad that i got primaried în the first fight and 4 and a half hours later i managed to reship, the 10 min agression timer took 4 hours to expire.Ccp lost points with me for caping the server at 4k.

Crybaby.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

There was 4.1k People in system, ofc there will be problems, it was the biggest fight in eves history. Most likely the entire MMO industry having 4k players on the same grid with all the calculations that are being done.

Remember the servers we were on was the best CCP has ( Jita Node ) It had to handle, Ship movements, Guns + Working out Tracking etc, every drones position, making a nice orderly queue for cycle activation + Logi reps, plus a hell of a lot more!!

all that with 4000 players mashing there keyboards trying to do stuff..... Props to CCP for keeping that fight moving even though it was slow.

Coming from a CFC member even if we had lost, it was a truely awesome fight, thanks TEST + everyone else for showing up and its a shame about the issues you guys had.

Crashing is preferable, I suppose?

There's more people crammed into one system than other MMO's have on an entire server. 10% speed is better than offline, and is a feat of computing as well with this kind of load.

Give credit where credit's due. Well done CCP.
