When i first started playing EVE i used to trade a lot but i ended up quiting as everytime i bought or sold an item on an order my screen momentarily froze as my buy/sell orders undated. As i had 30 buy orders for 10k each it happened non stop.

1. Has this issue been resolved.
2. Is this why people trade on an Alt

I had to stop as it was annoying in missions but for pvp it was monsterous.

Thanks for your valuable answers

Sounds like a driver problem. Do you have up to date drivers? If so and the problem continues, petition it.

If you are using the Market Interface, you can turn "autoupdate" off in the settings.

If you are talking about the Wallet Interface (Orders), then you are s.o.l..

Eve doesn't use async calls to update DB entries, so it causes the entire GUI to block while waiting for new data. It is quite annoying.

Yes, this was resolved a few years ago. In market settings tab, it is now an option to automaticly update the market window or not. If you choose not to have automatic updates, when you make a change, you will notice a "reload" button in the upper right hand corner of the trade window.
