Is it normal to get scammed by The Mittani, Chairman of CSM ???

I think the mercenaries will do what they're asked for, otherwise they wouldn't build the reputation as good mercenaries...I don't care about Mittani as a person...he proves that he is just a small crook...a goon leader to set such a scam is a tiny little sad fecktard. That's all.

If you want mittani corpses just come to a goon fleet fight, we all gotta die sometime.

Of course, but based on this thread and all your responses to it, it doesn't seem like you learnt your lesson which is never trust anyone blindly. If you'd handle hiring the mercenaries like you handled this trade, you could just as well hire Mittani himself to deliver a corpse for you. Then again that would just make this even more hilarious, you hiring some goons alt to handle the mercenary contract.

I lost some internet space money, he lost his dignity...if he ever had any. I will never be mad at me for trusting someone. If you do a mistake once, it's ok...if you do it twice then you might be stupid.

That's just it, he didn't lose anything. Everyone who follow what's going on around the game knows about him and his reputation both in game and in the CSM. If you'd look around this thread, you'd quickly see that you're the only one in the dark about that.

TL:DR - You got scammed by a goon, nothing new here.

Simple scam, Buyer contacts seller. They agree price and buyer suggests 3rd party. 3rd party confirms isk sent. Nyx is transfered. Everyone goes home.

Problem - 3rd party and buyer knew each other. No isk was sent, 3rd party lies, and buyer gets a free Nyx. Seller gets butt hurt and cries to CCP and C&P.

Time to move on.

I was indeed tricked by the CSM thing. Why do they have that CSM **** on their avatar? Cos as far as I understand, they are a bunch of nobodies...why CCP gave them that CSM thingie? I got scammed cos of it. Thank you CCP...I'm looking forward to move along to a better game, you can freeze in Iceland :))


btw : Why they didn't set some sort of a contract that could be made for Supers and Titans? I mean, for a freaking frigate u can set up a contract and cannot be scammed...but for a Super or Titan, you have to trust a 3rd party...So where I have to buy/sell a big ship which involves quite a big amount of money, there is no guarantee like a contract or so. What if Chribba decides for once"Not giving ISK to the Seller" day. Would you ever believe the seller? Ofc not, Chribba never scams ! Even if he does it :)

They allow and also control the chaos. For some reason, they think it must be good.

If you have the bil to buy the ship, you have the time in the game to know, do not trust goons. You have the time in the game to know, that Chribba is the 3rd party you trust. You also know darn well, that scams, theft, betrayal, griefing, are an integral part of the game.

A CSM is a PLAYER voted in by other PLAYERS that jabber at CCP on YOUR BEHALF. Think of it this way. CCP is college bueracracy. A CSM is a student voted in by other drunk students to sit on a student council. Doesn't mean they still can't throw drunken frat parties.

CCP gives them the CSM tag so you know who your player representative is. That is the sole reason. If you don't like him having it, then spend all your infinite worthless space riches on a campaign for seven other people who agree with you. I'd be happy to third party that for you, by the way.

Finally, the day Chribba scams someone, it will be the entirety of EVE, and he will do it in such an epic fashion as scamming can never be done again. May that day be far, far away.

Anyways, I might not have voted for Mittens in the upcoming election. This thread just makes SURE that I will.

Remember, a vote for Mittani is a vote for EVE, the way EVE was intended to be!

You pay CCP for access to the server. If during your time on the server, you make them laugh, then that's just a bonus.

Just because you're a CCP customer doesn't mean you are safe from scams — quite the opposite in fact. If you are a CCP customer, then you are pretty much by definition open to scamming. It comes with the territory.
