Black Ops - WInter Change?!

For a month now i have seen some major improvements coming in winter and lot's more, however i haven't yet seen anything regarding Black Ops Battleships.

Any chance that BO will get something to make them a bit more playable?

Maybe a decrease to the cost from a 1 bill isk ship (full fit) to a 300-400 mil isk ship.

Well, if you make the Sin 400m, at the very least it'll allow Sigari Kitawa to lose more of them per PLEX he buys.

iirc the devs haven't said anything about Blops changes/buffage for this expansion.

They should give them covops cloaks / no recal time just like bombers. It's not like it would be that "op," and it would make the ships more fun to fly in an on-grid combat role, mostly because it would allow you to slink around big systems to find targets / provide intel without possibly giving yourself away.

It's not like a class of similarly-priced ships doesn't already exist that warps cloaked, is immune to bubbles, and has 2-3x the agility, so it's not like blops with covops cloaks would set some kind of new precedent. Yeah, I know, covert T3s don't do as much dps, but they still perform necessary combat functions like probing and tackling, and some of them can still do pretty significant dps as well.

I used to be against giving BOs a coevrt cloak but as Ganthrithtithgigitor said T3s have essentially created the same without the ability to jump.

Having coevrt ops BSs would encourage more small scale roaming and hit n run tactics, and would be more fun to run those over a conventional fleet.

I'd also like to see a boost in EHP across the board. If they are meant to come through in advance and take down jammers, high JBs, etc they should be somewhat survivable when it comes to POS guns since logis can't go with them.

Also, increase the range by 25%.

BOs should get the covops cloak some increase in jump range actual t2 resists and their overall stats buffed to the level of their t1 counterparts
and in case of the Sin one mid moved to a low and 2 more guns
on a second thought might be better to just buff their DPS (instead of their tank) by some big number to make them nice for hit and run ops but not for longer fights
sneak in system with a covops -->light covert cyno -->jump in BOs -->**** the cyno jammer in a short amount of time --> jump in fleet

Give them a new ability to hack stargates in 0.0 to temporarily shut down local so you only see *static* for a few minuts. How awesome wouldn't that be?

I don't necessarily agree that their combat capabilities should be buffed. The covops cloak I suppose could be considered a combat capability but not in the sense that it affects a fight directly once that fight has begun. Blops BS are already pretty powerful-- as much as I'd like T2 resists for MY PANTHER, it can already appear on top of a recon instantaneously and do a pretty tremendous amount of dps. Adding additional range and piles of EHP to their existing capabilities is probably going a bit too far.

I never understood why their cloaking capabilities weren't changed along with bombers' though.

what would be awesome is if people wouldn't use sisi bustling with testers and the game devs being hard at work/trying to communicate well as an excuse to abuse the sisi forum section with "HERE'S WHAT I WANT" threads taht are irrelevant to the features currently being tested or promised for the next expac and drowning out legit threads made to address balance needs of the current sisi build or report bugs/glitches relevant to new content implemenation. If they rebalance anything it should be the things that they promised: hybrids, which we are seeing, AFs, which we have not seen yet, FW, which we have not seen yet, etc. we need to keep them to task on what they promised they would deliver, not use their new-found effort to improve eve as an excuse to pester them with every little thing that could potentially be fixed. would i love a black ops fix? of course. but here and now is honestly not the time and place to be asking for it.

also, covops cloaks and longer jump ranges would be awesome. imho it's good balance to keep T2 battleships interesting for their weird/quirky capabilities but gimped when it comes to "conventional" firepower. as it stands, black ops are where they should be as combat ships, but aren't as good as they were intended to be at their "core functionality;" improve their special abilities, leave their EHP/DPS where it is. also , the sensor strength gimp on marauders is wholly unecessary. but that's entirely besides the point.
