Hi guys,
After some time in eve I started to search for pvp with a cruiser .The thing is I went in low sec in many solar systems and after 2 hours of searching and waiting in many gates didn't find any ships to PVP.I found only some with sisters combat probe scanners and expanded probe launcher but the signal was too weak for me to get into them.So the question is do I have to raise my astro skills so I can experience PVP in this game?I like solo PVP and I don t want to use a probe ship and then another ship to PVP.Thank you.

I would train them up, they come in handy in a lot of other situations as well.

You could also go to FW space and hang out in Medium plexes, a fight should come to you eventually. As another alternative you can also hunt the new Clone NPCs in the belts and you might come across a random like yourself.

D-scan should be sufficient if you don't want to carry the probe launcher. It takes some practice, but once you understand how to use it, it is also quite handy for finding ships.

Consider using an AF, as you can also hang out/scan the small complexes.

Not sure if Egravant Alduin is your main but if it is I would consider using frigates first until you get some experience and maybe join FW as you will be able to make ISK in the plexes as well instead of just hunting them.

You don't generally need to probe all that often to get pvp..

You make corpmates do it for you!
