If it didn't make sense to you, you should have read the devblog until it made sense to you.

What never made sense was that Destroyers and BC's had no racial variant skills for the hulls when every other T1 hull in the game did.

I'd like to complain that there's no chocolate on my pillow at night.

Hey CCP, can you fix this ?

Oh the in justice!

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Thats true, but they should have made that change like 10 years ago and not now.
Making these changes thats causing sub cap pilots to take longer to fly different battlecruisers is just asking for these kind of posts.

Its not really my problem though , i had bc trained to 5 long before this change happened.

This was announced last year on March.

There was +12 months in advance to get the skills finished which took less than a month to train both to V.

They show their announcements on the login screen on the character screen. If you do not have the time to read it but you have the time to play EVE, something is going wrong with your time most likely

Op
Free sp?

No way in hell is free, my pod got about 6.5M sp jump and almost double isk cost before clone cost reduction for 30% and yet, I can't fly more ships than I did before, I fly only and exactly the same ones but have extra SP I don't need now because those ships pre requisites are completely changed !!

Had to train logi IV at that time to have all 8 command ships when I never fly that crap with my main or rarely with my alt when I want to be primary so I can do something more interesting instead, now you don't have to waste that SP !!

Now not only those racial are lower sp demand but also for T2 ships some older requirements aren't anymore, MEANING, you noobs need less sp training to get in to the same ships I do, fly them kick my ass and still pay your pod cheaper than I do.

SP advantage? -is this guy true or a troll?

How much SP do you think I use over a noob when I fly a T2 fitted Atron? = 0, but my clone cost could buy me a couple of those Atrons instead, while the noob not even close or will notice the amount of his clone cost.
Notice that I could fly the Wyvern before but can't still fly the Leviathan after that free sp Lol

You actually don't understand we were not given anything but a clone penalty and now wasted SP for some of us who trained pre requisites not needed anymore for ships we don't fly anyway.

It wasn't announce in "some blog somewhere". It's in the dev blogs. Check them once a week and you'll spend maybe two minutes scanning the blog headlines for anything relevant. And then you'll take whatever time you need to actually learn about what's going to happen in the future so that you can better enjoy the game. Because this is what happens when you don't.

For example, here are dates for blogs regarding game changes all the way back to April:

16.07.2013 - Rebalancing and Renaming Industrials

19.06.2013 - New system requirements for EVE
03.06.2013 - Odyssey Ship Balancing
03.06.2013 - Sensor overlay changes in EVE Odyssey

30.05.2013 - U and I made some changes: Odyssey UI changes
28.05.2013 - Probe Scanning and other Goodies for Odyssey
21.05.2013 - Reinventing the Radial Menu for Odyssey
15.05.2013 - Dual Character Training'
14.05.2013 - Planetary Conquest, corp quitting timers and more!
13.05.2013 - Hacking in Odyssey
02.05.2013 - WantToTrade: Tags for Security Status

26.04.2013 - Resource Rebalancing in Odyssey: Numbers!
26.04.2013 - Resource Shakeup in Odyssey: Just don’t call it a Cataclysm
10.04.2013 - In the Navy: Changes to Navy ships in Odyssey
02.04.2013 - Odyssey summer expansion: Starbase iterations

Seven blog entries in May. SEVEN. Less than two per week, prior to the release of an expansion that brought some significant changes.

If you can't be bothered to check those every once in a while, you accept the surprises.

I do not have a fleet to siege Jita to get this changed so I am hoping that it can be dealt with in a mature manner, and rectified by CCP in order to maintain customer good will.

The skills:

Destroyers
BattleCruisers (and others that I cannot think of)

have all been converted into faction equivalents of the same name - adding massive amounts of time to a training ques, and of course more money.

Now I had those skills to level 4 - with only a short time to train them up.

I am happy to train one of those skills to level 5 - but I am very unhappy that 40+ days (rough calculation) has been added to my training que.

I have paid my money every month without issue, not in game currency

Yes I have lodged a ticket to get reimbursement but that was denied - with the excuse that it was announced in a blog somewhere months ago.

I do not have the time to read every blog on eve, to find out every miniscule detail.

What I would like to request from CCP is the following: May I please have the equivalent inject able skill points to allow me to fill the 3 of the 4 skills for both Destroyers and Battlecruisers
as I said - im happy to train one of the skills but the 4 is just wrong.

Why can't CCP just perma ban idiots like this?????

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

The eve community, of all communities, should realise that just because CCP says "no" does not necessarily means "no" and that decisions can be reversed or an agreement reached.

The legend of the Jita sieges have proven that.

But if no-one makes a stand then it is our own faults for allowing it to happen. In EVE you have to fight for what you want.

I like playing eve - especially since I have started playing incursions, but If CCP does not want customer satisfaction and $180 a year of my money (plus plex purchases I make with real money), for a simple database entry, then so be it.

I am just as happy to pay the same $500 a year into World of Tanks or the up coming World of Warships mmo, or even better, I am happy give the money away to my WolfPack members.

Being a wealthy person, I have those options and I am selecting to exercise that option: keep me satisfied as a customer or im leaving.

I am not trying to be rude, but think about it like this, World of Warcraft did the same thing to its customers, did not respect them and now they are losing millions of players, I hope CCP does not do the same thing.

The crux of the matter is this - I am not asking for anything extra ordinary, or demanding extra special circumstances, I am asking for CCP to fill the agreement that was in place - and the agreement was "destroyer and battlecruiser skills for x days"

You do not get special treatment just for being wealthy. You are indeed asking for special treatment, because there was no agreement in place other than the warning we were all given MONTHS ago, clear as day on the launcher, that stated these changes would be taking effect. And it wasn't just the once they alerted us, it happened many many times prior to the changes taking effect. The only reason you feel 'unsatisfied' is because you also feel entitled to something you are actually not entitled to. This is entirely your problem.

We are losing sight of the greater picture. I want all the SP I missed by not having optimal attributes for training when I started the game. And I feel that all new pilots should start with their races line of T1 ships maxxed out. I mean that is how you make a successful MMO, right? And everyone should get 120 days of free game time with a billion ISK in their wallets. And everytime you kill someone all their mods drop, unless you are killed and then none of your mods drop.

Isn't that what people really want?

Thank you to all those people that have responded to this post.

Unfortunately, I do not have the time to read all the response.

But rest assured, I am without doubt, there are some very smart and well thought out responses, as well as some incredibly awesome troll posts - that even "troll face" would be proud of!

(troll face: http://whitsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Troll_Face.png )

Sadly I must confirm that I have made the decision to unsubscribe.

Reasons:
* 2 GM's have both refused my request
* an email to Ned Coker ( nedcoker@ccpgames.com ) - head of public relations has been ignored.
* CCP is once again cheating for their own profit - by modifying the skill requirements.
* Not everyone has the time to read developer blogs - and it would now cost me money to get what I would have had in less time, and thus is a disadvantage to myself, and is discriminatory.

If you tie this in with CCP developers cheating:
http://community.futuremark.com/forum/showthread.php?36761-eve-online-developer-cheating-confirmed-by-CCP!&s=8099921465190e5fca31a5f7fe0f3697

and the poor ability to not even shoot or warp in game - when a single person gets gate camped by several or more people.

In closing:
Thank you to the eve community ( including the trolls, griefers, and scammers ) for the experience, but I cannot stand by and allow this to happen without making a stand.

I have a right to stand up and speak the truth about the injustice of what has happened, I never asked to be given anything unfair, or 'just for myself', all I wanted was for CCP to uphold their end of the bargain on the skill.

In the highly unlikely event that CCP would like to contact me - they, and anyone from the EVE community, are welcome to come and visit the WolfPack teamspeak 3 server.

Details can be found on our website. - Google "WolfPack Australia" - it is the first link at the top of the page.

To whom it may concern,

I have a serious concern, which I hope to be rectified by CCP.

As a paying customer I feel that I have been cheated.

I do not have a fleet to siege Jita to get this changed so I am hoping that it can be dealt with in a mature manner, and rectified by CCP in order to maintain customer good will.

As a customer I like to stay informed about the changes being made to this game. Even though a lot of them seemed to be aimed at making the game less niche and more mainstream.

Subsequently I read the Dev blogs, news sites, player blogs and lastly the forums. It is within these forums that I have issue, I have a limited amount of time to read the current posts. However I am constantly having my time wasted by people complaining on these very forums about changes, that they have not been bothered to learn about.

So in the name of efficiency, to prevent my time and the time of like minded individuals from being wasted, could you please ban these people. Start with with the OP.

Thanks

wow... This has got to be the best whiny post yet.

To think I got the skills trained the second I heard a rumour that it might be done... even before the dev blogs.

EDIT: Reading some of his other post I came to realize the OP has a very I WANT attitude. And then promptly throws his toys out of his got when he does not get what he wants.
