Hooray for the little things.

Would also like to see some kind of missile range output on the fitting window, that would be nice.

And that Hurricane fit is terrible :P.

Wow! Looks nice! Good work! But i think you should correct the targetting range down to meters.
Looks like that thing can target 56250 km. Would maybe be a bit far. Lol

CCP please please please raise the number of saved fittings

Because on your silly patch where your fits would get saved on the server, u limited the number of saved fit to 50.

That is not even close to the number of ships ccp lets me fly or own

Please multiply that maximum number of saved fits by 5 or 10.

(I had to delete 150 fits alone when the expansion came out, which made me cry a little - even worse, since i just have 50 fits saved now anyway and its FULL i cant make any use of the window anymore anyway)

I"m glad this is finally being addressed. I played with it on Sisi and it's very useful. However, it still doesn't take into account implants, so I'll still be using EFT/EveHQ

8 years of development ? are you kidding me ?

EFT got this for quite a few years, and it is not commercial product.

How about a pseudo-EFT thing that lets us simulate fittings by dragging items onto a "virtual" fitting window? And a button to calculate the price based on station, systemwide or regional pricing...

This.

Consistency is important, pick a decimal and thousands indicator and stick with it.

Also, pick whether 5/100 mean 5 left or 5 used and be consistent with that as well across the screen. Flip flopping the grid and CPU reading to how much is left while leaving cargo, drones and calibration the other way is just confusing.

Hire (or train) a UI consultant!

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

It was SO hard for CCP to realize this sort of low hanging, winnitude-ripe fruits is what the players crave for?

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Judging by the highly ironic tone of this devblog this was not something gamedevs had no clue about.

It took you 8 years to do something that third party developers did years ago...and you missed missile range. Would you like a medal?

<3 EveHQ forever!

edit: And you don't show volley just DPS....wow just wow. At least you increased the amount of fits we can save (up to 100) without charing money from us like you stated in your newsletter...kudos

edit2: You missed passive shield regen...some ships can get 250+ dps passive tank and it is not shown in your screen (no module)

I was playing with a Dread in sisi in the other day and the DPS doesn't reflect the Siege module bonus at all... -> bug?

Also if there could be a way to allows us to see the how overheating guns change the DPS, it will be awesome!

Nice work, keep them coming!

Nice addition. One more thing that would be really helpfull: Show the ALPHA alongside the dps.

Looking at EFT, the numbers i most often look at are:
DPS
ALPHA
SPEED (with AB/MWD on)
Optimal and Falloff for the Weapons (aka range i get)(with tracking comps on)
Targeting range (with sebos on).
Lock time for different presets (with sebos on)

Oh, and i do that before actually buying the stuff. So the idea mentioned above about a virtual fitting window would be nice. Especially if you were able to load fits from your storage into it. In fact, this would be a huge advantage when talking about linked fits. It is tendious to get them into a third party tool and then talk about it. Just make that one click from the linked fit.

I dont expect the ingame fitting window to have all the stuff eft has (like damage graphs and stuff like that), but seeing the major values for own and linked fits would be a major improvement. Also a "all skills at 5" for a virtual fitting window would be nice for comparison between different players. When talking about fits, this calculation eliminates the training factor for the comparison and leaves only the fit for discussion.

It is currently possible to get a cap calculation with some mods off ingame, by offlining them. But a simple button only for calculation would be nice. I hate to forget onlining the stuff before i undock.

Good work.

If you could have the "Load Fitting" thingy from the fittings browser also include an ammo loadout and rigs, you will be approaching greatness.

Iteration FTW!

I would think if you are going to make a change to the current fitting window and have the patient open on the table then it should be easy also to add an option to turn on active hardener properties and see full resists. If your going to make a change there make it better in all fronts, all the minor annoyances not just 1 little detail.
Also repair dps/tank. Actually all modules that can be activated should display value modifications in the window dynamically. (Starting to feel like the fitting window needs a major overhaul.)
(While at it - add primary/seconary damage types dealt in missions, so players know what resists to fit... but I might be goint too far here..)
