Quick and simple idea here.

Would it be totally out of the question to have an option toggle somewhere that allows you to automatically update your watch list with all current squadron members (upon joining an active fleet), or add/remove members as they come and go from the fleet.

As a pilot who mainly flies in small fleets, I find it a hassle to right-click each member of a fleet, and then click 'Add member to watchlist'. This is especially annoying if the client crashes in the middle of a fight and you're flying logistics. You log back in, and frantically re-join the fleet and start trying to rapidly re-add everyone to your watch list again.


While I'm at it, is it also totally obscene to request that the ships type be displayed alongside/instead of the characters name?

In most situations it's a lot more important to know what the ship type is than which character is flying it... Which is kind of irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

It's a real pain trying to remember who's flying what ship, and when they require some repairs, and of what type. Displaying the ship name instead of who they are would be great.


Also, as it's a toggle there's no pressure to use it, especially if you're in larger fleets.

Oh, if this change does come into effect, then a "Clear all" context menu item on the watch list display would also be handy. Just in case you join a larger fleet with the auto-add option enabled, and want to look after specific ships, and not necessarily those in your squad. Be a real pain to have to right-click them all to remove them, one-by-one, and then re-add the correct ships, one-by-one.
