Why is your toon on a quest to craft posts about such words?

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

Words we can't use, eh?

**** - Strong word used an expletive, as well as a reference to sex.

**** - Waste matter produced by biological means.

***** - A female dog in heat.

**** - A derogatory term for a woman, as well as a slang for a part of the female anatomy.

Hitler - Probably for obvious reasons, but he killed a lot of people during WWII.

Considering all of these are censored, we probably shouldn't be using them on the EVE-O forums.

To the mods: I swear this post is purely for informational purposes, and has absolutely no ulterior motives. Honest!

Lol, it's fine, it's all programming syntax anyway, not as easy as some make it look.

Quickly corrected, to boot. Even if it turned into a newt, hopefully it will get better. :P

Not so, I have a wife, which means that at some point n time I have to have "gotten some" though for the life of me I can't remember it. Still, that means I must surely be sans virginity and thus ineligible to hold a nerd-card.

Nerd, Definition. Computer freak WITH a social life.
Geek. Computer freak with no social skills or social life, other than that of his imaginary friends.

Exactly backwards.

seconded. Tears always makes me think of a thirteen year old bouncing up and down on their chair that they lost the argument but are using tears to appear that they won.

If you've never tried PvP in EvE it's quite possible you've missed out on one of the greatest rushes available in modern gaming.

You're breaking the "Unspeakable rule:"
Quote:

'Unspeakable' rule:
If it's bad, and you mention it, it happens.
If it's good, and you mention it, it goes away.
If you mention the devil (or Chribba), he appears.

Edit: Added the full rule.

Nonono (even though I've said it before; hated myself as soon as I did) "dessie" is terrible.

Oh and I do think Jedis go on "quests".

And I'm pretty sure they "craft" their lightsabers, or "construct" as it were... but I don't think I've ever heard SW say "manufacture a lightsaber".

But they do have clans, and guilds also in SW.

*SW reference is in regards to the movies, not SWTOR or any other affiliated Lucas Arts game.

Minor quibble: Star Wars is not sci-fi, it is space fantasy.

Yes, there is a difference.

Yea, I know. But the point was it was in a reply to SW not having "quest" in it.

I do.

And no, not the "I twinked my alt out" kind. Well.. hmm, I guess that could be taken in context also, but I'm assuming you know what I mean.

Amazingly, I found out that the leafy green plant that some people like to smoke has been banned as well on the forums. I don't curse personally, so I was surprised to see one of my posts censored for that word.

Personally, I think the words "scam" and "scammer" should be censored from the forums because 9 times out of 10 they are used simply to troll people and cause mischief.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

The word "petition" is used entirely too much, normally in relation to frivolous things or long established use of game mechanics.

Words that are used incorrectly; geek and nerd, as already discussed; newbie and noobie, they're not interchangeable.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

You forgot "nub", as well as it's derivative, "nublet".

I'm married for 10+ years.I go out a lot , love drinking , woman and a good time with the ''lads' and hell i'm even getting some from the wife ... just not as much as i used to get P'.

And then when i got some free time and the kids are in bed and wife is watching tv i put on the laptop and start my inernetspaceship game and a whooooooooooole new world re-opens for me.

Whatever excuse you have for not calling yourself a nerd , to the outside non-gaming world we are all nerds. Now embrace this and repeat after me : I am a gaming nerd and i ******* LOVE to escape from reall world bullshit on a daily base.

I rather have a look at EN24 to read how the internet war in fountain is going then to put on the tele and see how the whole world is sitting ready to do live reporting of ........ william and kate coming out the hospital after she gave birth.

Sorry - toon, guild, quest, craft, ad nauseum just aren't EVE terms. If you go to another country or even area wouldn't it be best to call things what the people there call them rather than what you might be more familiar and comfortable calling them? Also, not everyone in EVE played WoW or other fantasy-type mmo. It's not really a freedom of speech issue, more of a communication issue...but w/e, yolo :)

YOLO isn't a word. It's an acronym consisting of four words.
