BIG is proud once again to be hosting betting for the EVE populace.


AT11 Dates & Times

Weekend 1
2013.07.20 - Saturday
2013.07.21 - Sunday

Weekend 2
2013.07.27 - Saturday
2013.07.28 - Sunday

Weekend 3
2013.08.03 - Saturday
2013.08.04 - Sunday


The following types of bets can be made
Observe the deadlines for making a particular bet!!! - Else your bet is void. TIA for your donation.
ISK will NOT be returned if you make a particular bet after it's deadline!!! Consider it a tax on the stupid. So doublecheck!

Make your bets any time before an individual match is scheduled to start (check the schedule)
A001-A126: Bet on the winning team of an individual match.

Make your bets before 2013.07.20 13:30 EVE time (Start of first match of weekend 1)
B127: Bet on a team making it past the first weekend (48 teams will make it).
B128: Bet on a team NOT making it past the first weekend (16 teams will be out)
B129: Bet on a team winning the tournament. (Not the same as A126, due to the betting deadline)

Make your bets before 2013.07.27 13:30 EVE time (*) (Start of first match of weekend 2)
C130: Bet on a team making it past the 2nd weekend.
C131: Bet on a team NOT making it past 2nd first weekend.
C132: Bet on a team winning the tournament. (Not the same as A126, due to the betting deadline)
(*) CCP has not yet announced the times for the matches...

Make your bets before 2013.08.03 13:30 EVE time (*) (Start of first match of weekend 3)
D133: Bet on a team winning the tournament. (Not the same as A126, due to the betting deadline)

How to bet

Send your ISK to the character BIG Games (1M ISK increments only) who is a member of the corporation BIG.
Please DO doublecheck!!! There's so many (name look-alike) scammers out there it's just ridiculous.

Also - Follow the instructions TO THE LETTER on what to enter in the "reason" field when you wire ISK.
Use the "Bet Calculator" on the AT11 website to know what bet code to enter (example : AT11-B12537)

ISK will NOT be returned if you mess it up!!! Consider it a tax on the stupid. So doublecheck!

Depending on what error you make, your ISK is lost (TIA for your donation), or you might simply be getting BIG Lottery tickets which isn't half bad (As the same char is used for ticket purchases to The BIG Lottery)

So again - Doublecheck!!!

Each year I spend way too much time on double-checking for people who, then, turns out to have messed up.... It's not rocket science people...

This year we again have the "did NOT get past xxx stage" bet type - Was mildly popular last year - So why not.
This was a player suggestion as well btw - So if you have any good ideas, do let me know.

Unfortunately we don't have as many different kind of bet types as we usually have - As CCP _still_ hasn't announced when exactly the matches of the 2 last weekends are being done exactly...

So the listed schedule simply has placeholder values for weeks 2 and 3 for now...

Usually I launch the betting site a couple of weeks in advance, but...

I'll update the site whenever CCP gets around to announcing the match times for week 2 and 3

As this tournament is a "double-elimination" tournament - It can be a bit hard (at least for me) to wrap your head around a teams possible path through the tournament.

So I've made this monstrosity of the brackets layout... Not sure it helps...
It did however help myself while making it :-)

It's based on the info given by CCP Veritas here.

One thing that surprised me is just how "expensive" it is if you lose a match early - As that mean you will have to play a bunch of extra matches (to make it to the final) - and that kinda gets expensive ISK wise...

Lose your first match - And you have to play 5 (five!!!) extra matches to make it to the final (if possible) - As opposed to the team who simple wins all their matches - Ouch.

Schedule has been updated, now that CCP has finally released it...


The way the schedule has been made makes bet types #130/131 a bit strange now... (I took a chance on those).
We'll see how that works out Big smile
