Words that you musn't use

Toon - Are you Bugs Bunny, a Disney employee? Toon is a cute sounding word that is used by those who don't know any better. Character or even avatar is more of a word that fits into the harsh nature of the eve universe. Unless you want to imagine that you are Bucky O Hare.

Quest - Missions could be called 'quests' however quests are generally used by the fantasy game inclined. Mission is a better word for the sci-fi fantasy. You ever hear the word quest in Star Wars? The game Space Quest doesn't count.

Crafting - Crafting invokes images of using a whittling knife to create a figurine from an olive branch or something. Crafting is something that generally involves animal skins and primitive methods of creation. Eve is far from primitive and has factories and therefore industry is the correct word.

I was told recently that using the word "bint" was offensive(when they did not know what it means). I proceeded to really give them something to be offended by.

As for words I hate? Yolo. It's so ********.

Not so, I have a wife, which means that at some point n time I have to have "gotten some" though for the life of me I can't remember it. Still, that means I must surely be sans virginity and thus ineligible to hold a nerd-card.

Yep. Nerd card revoked as of EVE time 2013.07.23 13:45.

Granted, I haven't had mine for a while, still not sure why, but this 2 year old wandering around my house has the same color eyes as I do...

These words you hear are a mixture of genere's. I am guilty of this myself being a long time EverQuest player as well as being a older player back to the days of dial up and Ultima Online.

So MY TOON says lets go QUEST and then lets CRAFT some. Big smile

EVE verboten (schmutzig) words:

Oh, no. Nerds do get laid. Usually by other nerds, I admit, but not always so. You've stumbled on a key definition error:
Geeks are anyone with an inordinate focus on a single subject matter.
Nerds are people lacking social skills to the point of near-isolation* from mainstream society.

Geeks need not be nerds. Nerds are quite often not geeks.

*Note: I said near-isolation. Occasionally a nerd manages to break out and make human contact. Even unto the point of getting laid.

boni.

FFS it's bonuses. I realize English is screwy, but use the right freaking plural. Every time someone uses boni I want to punch them in the throat.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.
