I got it for the Rifter...gold pod...CD and book.

Plus, I could use Amazon points from my credit card to buy it. So it really was a no brainer. If I had to pay cash it would have been harder to justify but I'd probably still get it.

One question I do have though, is about the special edition thrasher....why are the stats exactly the same as a Thrasher? I don't see the point other than to collect it. Something this rare, why not make it have some different stats? Is this because you don't want to put something in game that would link real money to an advantage with an item?

Thanks for the reply. I am as much a visual person as you are I guess, so you'll have to send pix. P Btw, I said this in another post. Make the game code redeemable for plex, that'll make me cave in I guess.

I bought mine for the book, the cd, to help CCP, and for 'some' of the ingame swag. Being an Amarr semi-RP player, I have no interest in the thrasher, or the rifter usb hub. I also don't have a PS3, so the DUST items are wasted. I sold the thrasher for a bil, since I will never be caught dead flying a minmatar ship. I wish CCP had been able to offer us a choice of races for the in-game items and for the usb hub.

Does the golden pod make my pods golden permanently?

And as a current subscriber... What use would a "New account CD Key with 60 days of game time" be to me? I've already have 3 accounts and I wouldn't want another. Could this code be used to get gametime on an already active account?

It's the 10 year collectors edition box for EvE Online, and yet it contains a lot of crap that is entirely useless for me as a player. I don't play DUST 514 because it isn't a PC game, and I certainly am not interested in a board game.

If it actually had neat **** in it for eve online worth 200 bucks, I'd purchase it. It doesn't though.

Tx for the pic. Looks actually pretty cool. As a techie I must ask if it is USB 3.0?

On the internet, you can be whatever you want to be. It is amazing that so many people chose to be stupid.

Im cutting the base off the Rifter model and flying it around the house making 'pew pew pew' sounds until my wife divorces me.

She says she wont divorce me unless I do it in the bedroom while shes trying to sleep.

I told her that no one goes AFK while a rifter is present.

This will end badly for me.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Cool looking model. I'm not buying the collector's edition, but I might buy an individual model like that if you offered Gallente hulls, and don't go full ****** on the price.

My issue is that I play Eve Online, not DUST 514.

I cannot see the point of paying for stuff for a game I do not play.

If CCP were to offer an Eve Online only version, I would quite happily buy it.

more or less my thoughts on this as well. I've contemplated buying the collectors edition but I will never play dust unless it comes to pc. all the vanity dust related and other items are useless for me.

Yes your pod golden pod will be gold forever, that was answered in a previous thread some months ago about this. What I can't remember is if the gold pod is account bound (so gold pod for all characters on the account) or character bound ( you just get a gold pod for one character on one account).

The only thing this collectors edition lacks is a stripper pole for my CQ and a key to the door.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

I must be the only person in eve that hates rifters, so the usb is of no interest to me, my avatar wears a full robe so the tats are of no interest, the gametime code is worthless to current accounts, the rest isn't of much interest to me.

Honestly the only thing I'd kinda/sorta have any interest in is the gold pod skin, and that's not worth the price tag, not that CCP wouldn't try and sell it at that price, after all... monocles.

In short, no thanks, I'll pass.

I wish CCP would just sell this game to a proper developer. They clearly want to make a different type of game. Why does a development team responsible for maintaining a space MMO consistently devote their resources to churning out cr-ap like shirts and tattoos for avatars that have no functionality in the game? Clearly Dust 514 is the way they have been wanting to go for years, where console gamers who love to scoop this cr-ap up can print money for them. CCP can have Dust for all I care, but they should part with EVE for a proper developer who can fix the issues with the bloody game and make it relevant again.

I bought it on impulse after I had looked at the contents for about the 20th time. I love sci-fi themed art books, so that is a big draw-card, and the Rifter will look nice on my desk at work. The CD I am really looking forward to.

I play Dust a little so the I get some benefit from the in-game stuff there as well as EVE, and for the history value I am keen to check out the game.

As others have mentioned, it actually does have more stuff than some boxed game sets I've seen and I am happy to have bought it and support CCP, rather than my money going to EA's coffers for some other games boxed set.

The power to cause pain is the only power that matters, the power to kill and destroy, because if you can't kill then you are always subject to those who can, and nothing and no one will ever save you.
