Is it normal? Yes.

Should he be allowed to use his position as CSM head to imply a sort of legitimacy and aid in his scams? No. Not only is it lazy and effortless, it gives him an edge over other scammers.

In many ways I feel like all of us got scammed by Mittani.

The Mittani, I petitioned you, it should be there in game logs anyway so you better give the isk. If not, I hope CCP can investigate and see if Amara Jade was involved or not in the scam and reimburse me.

I can't imagine how you feel, I have never even seen 3 billion isk, but I would get sick to my stomach if I even lost one.

But I really don't see them fixing this. It's happened over and over, and is a legitimate part of the game. There is NO ONE you can trust implicitly in this game. If you understand that and believe it, you cannot honestly petition the scam.

Next time wait for Chribba to log in.

The petition won't help, because he didn't break any rules. Sorry.

By the way, CSM are just players who communicate with the devs, not CCP employees bound by a code of ethics. They do have ingame restrictions, like following NDA and not trying to profit off future changes to the game. (For example, if Mittani knew that, say, Scrap Metal was suddenly going to be made to refine into Megacyte , and he bought up a **** ton of Scrap Metal to sell, he would get banned.)

Making a profit off overtrusting people with too much ISK however... that's fair game.

Care to explain how you're going to get a Nyx into a contract if you can't dock with it?

Why would they reimburse you. You are allowed to scam people in this game.

There are no rules that say a CSM can not scam you. There are no rules that say they can not tell you they're are trust worthy because they are a CSM then Scam you. Unless you can produce logs that has the Mittani saying "I can't scam you because I am not allowed as I work for CCP"(Not allowed to mislead people by pretending to be on CCP Staff) then there is nothing they can do.

Why not? Doesn't anyone who is deemed reliable enough to be a third party use some kind of background to prove they are trustworthy? Metagame go! It does give him an edge, but it is something you have to work for to get ;D
