I brought a nice batch of faction ammo for my condor. The condor died hero-tackling Gallente Milita Battlecruisers. Poor ship.

Drop suits. They're what the dusters fight in. They stop bullets and a wide range of other things that kill you.

If you're responding to Mr. Kalamari's comment, combat suits are not 'frivolity.' They're a necessary part of an operative's work.

As for me, I was primarily a hauler at the time, so I used it to pay insurance on contracts.

These are DUST ground unit dropsuits.

Though some ladies can be intrigued by men in armor as well, I hear.

"I say that even as the holy and the righteous cannot rise beyond the highest which is in each one of you - so the wicked and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.  And as a single leaf turns not yellow but with the silent knowledge of the whole tree, so the wrong-doer cannot do wrong without the hidden will of you all."

Ah.

Nothing frivolous about that.

My first million isk went towards a Stabber, which got butchered minutes later in low security. What a terrible way to learn the ways of combat, but I don't regret it one bit.

It was probably spent on either furthering my education or mining vessals. At the time I was a Capsuleer miner in...Jouvulen if I remember correctly. Me and many others. Through that I found the people that became part of my first Corporation.

Really, your first million ISK is inconsequential. Your first month or so though, that makes far more of an impact on one's career.

About a third of mine was spent on training that would help me train other skills quicker, back before those courses were integrated into the undergraduate courses. The rest was spent on other basic training, and an Imicus of all things.

To clarify, I am talking about advanced level dropsuits, with advanced tech and modules. Since I had no clue what to do with them at the time, my first million quickly burned on those suits.

Rookie Perspective:
First few hundred thousand were used to purchase and equip a Venture. The Venture quickly paid for itself and generated several million, much of which is being used for skills.

I believe I used my first million to buy a Merlin and fly it for the Caldari State when I was part of the State Protectorate. I'm sure that Merlin had been destroyed in action shortly after my first days as a Capsuleer flying around in low security space.

I bought a catalyst. I remember it quite well because I had a snowball fight in it. Its strange to remember a little ship like that, I only had it for a week before I sold it to pay for fittings for a cruiser.

Life seemed to move so much more quickly then, but really, its because the rungs were so much closer together.

My that is a while ago. But I remember the little ship fondly.

A Burst, because I noticed early on that I wanted to go the way of industry.

The remainder of the money was spent on skillbooks to try to get me an ORE barge further down the line.

Fear not this night. You will not go astray. Though shadows fall still the stars find their way.

I think I spent it on a couple of really nice Tristans, if I recall correctly.

Bought a bare-hull frigate, the rest were spent on exotic dancers and booze. That was my graduation party after leaving the academy...good times, good times. Cleaning the ship after the party is another story, though.

Well coming out of a bad childhood with a family space explorers that were butchered by sansha pirates while traveling I left my home station in tintoh and turned into a bit a space gypsy, tormented by my family's death offering my services to anyone who would accept them.

Finding myself in Amarr low-security space fighting back the Minmatar for a decent wage upon earning my first million isk I went dark packed up my personal belongings, one kestral, one family photo and a cargo hold full off ammo I burned towards Jita determined to avenge my family upon arrival I met what I thought to be such a nice guy who said he had enough of life and wanted to give his wealth to someone who showed him there was kindness left in New Eden, I blindly handed him my one million isk on the promise he would double it and I watched him run through the corridors of the caldari navy assembly plant in Jita.

I'm right there with you Civ, although mine wasn't so much a graduation party... more along the lines of "Breaking in the new Clone" Party. So much Spiced wine that night i swear i lost weeks worth of Skill Training....

I have nothing exciting or fun to use as a Forum sig... eh, S**t happens...
