2 different ship setups not sure what is better for solo/small gang work math!

So i am looking at a Jaguar and a Harpy

the jag has
243 dps
15303 ehp
1502 m/s
29.7 Sig radius
82.25 EM resist
1.1+4.3 optimal

Using 200mm auto cannons


the Harpy has
323 dps
15817 ehp
1192 m/s
31.8 Sig radius
39.15 EM Resist
3.8+1.5 optimal

Using Light Neutron Blasters.

My question is how do i determine what is better if they were all lvl 5 shooting EMP. I would assume that the Jag is head and shoulders above due to the higher resist. What if we took the resist out and just assumed both had same EM resist?


My 2nd question is how does tracking come into play, since the jag has smaller sig and goes 300 m/s faster?

Last question, if they both had a web the jag could still dictate range. what if we are at 1.1k so in optimal of jag but under it on the harpy. jag wins here right? due to tracking/sig?

Thanks in advance in helping me understand the math to figure out what i want to fly.

Ur not gonna kill anything on that range without web+scram..and looking at ur ehp its safe to say u don.t have one or the other cause u tanked the **** out out of em

Harpy is better because Jaguars are awful. You know unless you somehow manage to shoot EM at it.

Yeah how in the hell did you get 243 DPS out of a jag?

I wear my goggles at night.
