Alas, bumping your thread is not going to give you the local-free nullsec you desire.

They would need to do something about cloaking and jumping gates so that you don't flash onto Local for a second

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Is null sec local chat going to become like W - space or has that been taken off the table for this expansion or altogether.

Hmm, not sure.

But i think it wasn't a clear cut like W , and they were only talking about cloaking those in local that were cloaked and all of local only to those that were cloaked. I may be wrong on this.

Bump. curious for answer as well.

Something like The Ultimate Guide to Life, the Universe, and Cloaking?

I agree but they have been very clear that nullsec isn't going to be like w-space which is a huge disappointment to some members of the ~elite PvP~ community.

Lol. Yesterday it was Goon amusment over "peasants" revolting against goon ganking.

Today its "the elite pvp small gang fetishists" that are the target of riddicule. I guess anybody who doesnt play the game like you do amirite?

Removing local in null sec would really open it up to a lot more players if they were willing to take the risks and make it a much more dynamic place. And it would start to edge the risk level of sov 0.0 back up a bit more, which given the rewards there seems like an improvement balance wise. I would support the idea.

Wasn't one of CCP's arguments about getting rid of local that they don't want people to feel "alone in space"?

Why don't they just do away with local and replace it with constellation or region chat? That way you aren't alone but you also don't necessarily know exactly who is right there in local with you.

Local changing is a good thing I don't care how you slice it, or do it.

It's still never going to be like wormhole space. You're going to have to work a little bit for your kills.

To be fair, you have to work for them in wormholes too.

Just makes the argument stronger, but Test, & Goons do run the CSM. So do CCP over look the CSM on this matter and get local changed this winter or we have to wait till summer when we put new folks in that will get this done. I rather not wait.

CSM is a failure the moment it is "elected".

Automatically it would be hijacked by the nullsec alliances as a metagaming device and that is exactly what happened.

Time Dilation AKA Legal Lag is going to kill the game.
