The very nature of conflict requires, nay demands that you use everything available to you to cause the most damage with the least loss. Those decrying the use of such tactics simply don't understand PvP very well. There are plenty of games enforcing balanced sides, clear objectives and well marked zones for their conflicts, EVE is not, nor should it become, one of them.

I would have no issue whatsoever with this change (if it is indeed an intentional move and not a bug) if it had been documented and evenly applied (i.e. in the patch notes and affecting all maintenance bays on all ships with them), I'm more than happy to adapt my tactics. However, they way it's been done, nerfing the tactics of one group but leaving the exact same mechanics unchanged for others, is simply bad form.

hahaha look at those tears. You claim that CCP is supporting mission runners and protecting them with this removal of an exploit to save your own skin. You also imply that "little mission runners" are weak. So why complain, you truly DON"T know how to win at internet spaceships if you have to attack and bait mission runners to feed your PVP lust. Go to lowsec where there is a real challenge. Attacking and attemping to bait mission runners makes you look WEAK. I support the change to prevent ship swapping to prevent losses. If you can't win with one ship then don't engage the target. and if mission runners **** you off that much, then stay in lowsec and quit whining. CCP is supporting both teams, Mission Runners and PVPers in turn. You guys got new weapons and Sov Structures the last few releases, now its the mission runners turn to get protection from PVPers with the scan nerf and now a stealh ship nerf.

If you can't face REAL challenges in lowsec and null then you truly FAIL at interne spaceships and your epeen will we limp and wrinkeled for the rest of your life.

Keep the tears coming and CCP will find something else to change hahahahahahahaTwisted

its fair enough if he wanted to deagress for 1 minute & ship swop, but not continually firing. I either wanted agression on the orca for holding an agressed ship, or to stop it when an offensive module was activated on such a pilot.

yes, it should have been in the patch notes, i agree. but killing a million ships to get revenge on a player for some fun PvP, doesnt quite add up.

If said pilot didnt want to lose his T3, just die in your merlin. I would of quite happily accepted that & carried on minding my own business.

For those of you playing Carebear Comeback Bingo that's "Real PvPers go to Low", and "You only do this because you suck at the game". Once again, "Real PvPers go to Low", "You only do this because you suck at the game".

I will gladly smack you dead in my T3. Stop confusing those of us with skill with one bad moron. As for Martineski goes, I would have at least liked it to show up in the patch notes. Don't come to me telling me its skill to blob someone like some low sec pilots do. I think Garmon put to rest what one really good pilot can do to blobs.

Ships with a ship maintenance bay have recieved a stealth nerf -- as of incarna client update #3's downtime (Sep 8?), you will be unable to directly board a ship from a ship with a ship maintenance bay if an aggressive module or drone is active against your ship.

Has a petition or bug been filed regarding this? Have you tried ship swaping if it's only a NPC aggroing you rather than a player?

Confirming that switching ships with one in an Orca's maintenance bay does not work anymore if you have NPC aggro.

Oh trust me, I harass the bad ninjas all the time. Some things you can teach, but you just can't cure stupid.

For all those saying this is just a ninja nerf, remember it hurts miners too.

FYI: A good many of the ninja's don't need an orca to harass mission runners, it just makes it easier. Don't think this is going to change much in that regard. Those guys are smart and dedicated and will roll with this. You aren't safe anywhere except in station.

just a shame they didnt take the time to fix the scoop tactic as well, if a ship is aggressing you should not be able to scoop the ship to sma

of course you should be able to scoop -- the scooping ship should just get an agreesion flag as a result. While there should be no free lunch in this game, there should also be no limiting of choices. It is after all a sandbox. Instead of limiting choices, ccp should have made there be risk to those choices. A ship that scoops another in combat should acquire aggro. Make people balance the actions against the consequences. You want to use that orca in combat, you place it at risk oif being destroyed.

The more I think about this, the more I'm realizing that CCP/EVE has jumped shark. This is a move that bliz would do in WoW to dumb the game down for the, um, 'less mentally agile'. Was on the verge of reconsidering resubing my accounts but if this is the direction they are taking EVE I don't want anything to do with it. Just glad I was able to play at the end of EVE's golden age. It was a great game.

And no, you can't have my stuffs. (don't have that much stuffs anyway)
