Are we gonna get a chance to see kiting ravens? Are we gonna see blaster moas? I miss the out of box set-ups..... It was very bland today.

Not possible.

The thread debating the pros/cons of the BS changes clearly stated that Domi's are utterly useless with that silly drone range/tracking bonus instead of hybrid bonus! Contestants just failed to follow that thread so have not been properly educated.

So far, better than last year .. at least it is not 100% Winmatar spam, now we have sentry/blaster/cruise spam with a bit of hangover Winmatar thrown in! *sigh*

At any rate, once bans start next weekend I guess we'll get to see just about every ship in Eve by the time the tourny ends. Best damn addition to the rules in a long time, death to the cookie cutters!

I thought we saw a nice mixture of setups, also seemed more high value ships fielded and lost than I remember in previous ATs on day 1. Things should be mixed up even more once banning comes into play theres definitely gonna be some ships that get banned a lot after today.

The cut-off date only affected a characters eligibility to fly with the alliance in the actual tournament, not whether they could be members of the alliance. I could always forbid more things if I wanted to win the "most hated dev"-award, but I'm just not that kind of guy.

As to out of the box fits, let's just wait and see. Things may get very interesting now that elimination is on the line for some teams.

Also bans coming later. That should force the issue.
