Wanting to try out faction warfare but if I enter a plex with a friendly militia mate they fire at me. Why is this allowed in a NPC corp?

You're Forgetting rule number one in eve, never trust anyone.

Even the asteroids are out to get players...see mercoxit.Big smile

Because it's lowsec, because it's allowed in every corp, and because this is an open PvP game.

Because we need to root out traitors and spies... and punish those who make the rest of us look bad.

People barely lose any faction standing shooting Militia friendlies, they can kill the militia NPC standings however but the Militia NPC standings have nothing to do with remaining in militia, only the faction standings.

I knew someone before who always used to kill Militia friends and it always annoyed everyone.

I got to admit killing militia friendlies should kill your faction standing but it isn't the mechanics atm.

Eh, kind of dumb to say the least. I get your can't trust anyone and blah blah. That isn't what this is about though, They should re title the militia to 24th No Team Cohesion, in description, Welcome to free for all lp grind... It's you vs the four factions. Good luck.

Don't be a spai then.

In more seriousness, it's quite common to shoot at members of the NPC faction warfare corp, since that is basically a giant breeding ground for spies.

So, join a player controlled corp for it.

But really, your character is only a few weeks old, you look very much like a spy.

From the sounds of it, "spy" in eve is like saying you have a friend in line and cutting in front of everyone. It isn't really true, it's just something everyone says so they can shoot people on their team. People do not look at me or how old my character is. They insta lock and fire. Anyways, it's eve and you can't trust people and whatever, but they should implement faction loss or soemthing.

Maybe find your own plex?

Ha! No.

This just revealed how bad you are, my friend.

If I, for example, am a Minmatar faction player, then I can put a low skillpoint alt in 24 Imperial Crusade, and then boom, I have access to Milita chat, and I can see them do all of their planning and everything in that chat.

It's an extremely common tactic, actually. Something like one in ten people in the Amarr militia are spies. Most of them, lowbie alts, like you.

Like I said, not being a spy really helps with not getting shot at. So does getting a real corp (because then you run in fleets and the single guy will get killed by your guys).

In a game where loyalties are as fleeting as a Cheetah, having such combat even for a RP sense is meaningless.

It's perfect for 4chan griefers, though.

Both are allowed, but targeting and firing at you are two different things.

Sometimes I am pretty happy when friendlies target me....and keep the buffs coming.

Because pub militias are usually full of idiots, farmers, spies, etc.

There are plenty of good Amarr militia player corps and alliances to choose from; you'll be having more fun in FW the sooner you find one you like and join them.

If unprovoked - its the crap players doing it.

They use unsuspecting friendlies to 'pad/fake' their killboard stats.

The only time it is acceptable is if you enter a plex and the timer is almost down and you stay.

They should ask you to leave 1st.
If you refuse then you will be shot.

If you did the second one- and didn't leave as soon as you landed - you deserved it.
If they agressed without warning - they are just morons.

Find a good corp and then the morons will leave you alone more often.

because plex mechanics share lp from plex , people consider you are so called "plex stealer" who is only leaching lp from plexes and that is why they shoot you.

Usually if you are 1st in plex they might leave you alone, but not always. It is jungle out there only strongest survive.
