This game has had performance issues on and off since launch and it's almost laughable that they still linger.

For a game with a not incredibly high polycount per ship model, and with most of the playable space being empty, along with there only being one light source per system (the sun), the fact that such basic things such as Shadows cripple the FPS in this game just comes down to negligence.

But at least shadows can be turned off. Mission clouds still cause even high end pc's to experience an inexplicable and unwarranted FPS loss. After six years of Googling for solutions and seeing threads rise and fall about how it's just about to be fixed and how CCP is totally aware and totally working on the problem but finding nothing but empty threads I'm wondering what it really takes to get your attention regarding this.

Does CCP ever plan to address these issues? Go ahead and tell me again how its being looked at.

+1 would also like to know been looking into this myself for some time. This game seems to be one of the few that struggles with graphic settings set to high, however, crisis 3 has no problems.

Ideas?
