Am I warp scrambled or am I warp disrupted?

So I am in my ship with my MJD ( Micro Jump Drive) and I get tackled, my log says "Combat Warp scramble attempt from..." and I activate my MJD and off I go safe and sound, a couple scraps later my log says "Combat Warp scramble attempt from..." but this time I fail to activate and get a one minute cool down, obviously I was scrambled rather then disrupted but I could not find a way to know when I was being scrambled or disrupted, normally my microwarpdrive turns off and I know the difference, but I never had to really have some visual/audio/log telling me I was scrammed cause it really only effected my microwarpdrive. Now I need to know whats happening, I have a new module, I am using new tactics, it is very important to know which frigate is doing what to me so my neutralizerz Twisted drain the right guy...right? So I am asking for some other eve players to of course comment and possibly help me change something in EVE to benefit all of us.

You'll want to check this out. Can't remember if it separates disrupts from scrambles, but you can use it to tell who's doing what to you.

Just checked it out and it says the same for both scram and disrupt, thanks for the help though that is a nice link.

Was the colour the same? I am sure blue (scramblers) and green-blue (disruptors) is not a help, but maybe you have good eyes.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

the message is always "scrambled" but to actually determine whether or not its a scram or disruptor you have to mouse over the little icon

Pretty sure the effects bar does not show a difference between scrams and disrupts.

I think I remember a video in which someone from CCP said it was in the feature list, but it got cut.

There is a difference in color, slight but it is there. maybe one should be changed to red (I know Doc, F&IArrow). Range also gives you an idea, but that is sometimes hard to tell with lag

Try the Logs and Notifications mate. I'm not 100%, but pretty sure the notification tells you if you're scrammed or disrupted. I have mine open all the time but minimised at the top of the screen. Then just double-click on the bar and it'll open to your preset sizing.

As I stated in my original thread the log states the same thing for both.

Bumping because this is a real issue. Agreed with above poster this thread is full of forum warriors who need to speak on topics they don't understand.

Agreed a different colour would be welcome atm and it should be fairly easy to fix... scrams are worth a red colour nowadays anyway ;) gone are the long years of uselesess :D

Perhaps a solution is just to not have the cooldown on the MJD activate until the jump actually works?

No, the solution is to have a different colored icon for scram and disrupt. There really should be, considering how much more powerful scram is.

I have wondered if there was a trick to this for years.

Please CCP, make it easy to know the difference instantly.
