If I am providing orbital support to a DUST team and I have more than one type of weapon with precision strike ammo loaded, can I fire all three types at the same time similar to cloaking and punching the MWD trick?

If I recall correctly (someone feel free to correct me)...

- the only ammo that can be used for Orbital Bombardment is the ammo listed as "Tactical Strike ______"
- I *think* it can be used with any weapon type except missiles (long or short range).

As for the rest of it...

- mixing weapons is bad. While it might not make too much of a difference for Orbital Strikes it makes a hell of a difference when facing other EVE players**
- cloaks give a ship targeting penalties when fitted (and more penalties when activated).*** Try to avoid fitting them unless you know what you are doing.

** the idea behind having the same type of weapon on a ship is twofold:
- you are 100% effective at a certain range rather than 50% or 33% effective at specific ranges. You can use Microwarpdrives and Afterburners to control range.
- you can link weapons of the same type with the same ammo into one button... allowing you to strike with all of them at the same time and increasing the damage of your individual volleys.

***When you fit a cloak...
- your ship's targeting speed will be drastically reduced... making your time to lock a target rather slow (doesn't matter if the cloak is activated, deactivated, or offline). The exceptions to this are cloaking specialized ships with the Covert-Ops cloak.
- it reduces your top speed by 90 to 75% while active... making quick getaways very hard. The exceptions to this are cloaking specialized ships with the Covert-Ops cloak.
- you can't target anything while cloaked... or activate any mod or weapon for that matter... or warp (the exception to that last one is cloaking specialized ships with the Covert-Ops cloak).
- you need to keep in mind that there is a 5 to 7 second "targeting delay" upon decloaking where you can't target anything. So you may miss your orbital bombardment window (the exception to this is the Stealth Bomber... which can't fire Tactical Ammo).

Well the above was a useless post that completely missed the point...

But to the main, question, I don't know, that is a good question....

Could one response with a tactical lasers strike from lasers, a tactical strike from rails, and an EMP strike from projectiles, all from the same ship... as long as the modules are activated in close temporal proximity to each other (as you are allowed to activate a MWD after activating a cloak, if you press it soon enough afterwards.

It would be pretty cool to be able to deliver mixed strikes, instead of just the one type...

Although... would you want to mix an EMP strike with the others?
I think strike from hybrids is the best for raw damage... and an EMP strike won't actually kill anything...
I think the EMP strike is supposed to be more situational: ie you are armor tanked, your enemy is shield tanked, you call in EMP shells from orbit, and you can call them down right on top of you without suffering too much (while your enemy will be fux0r3d)

If you don't intend to call it down right on top of friendlies, why use an EMP strike?

Would it make sense to soften them up with a 2-3 guns of emp and the have the hybrid strike to do damage to armor. There would be times that dropping an emp strike on your team would help. If we we all armor tanked and going against shield tankers an emp strike would give us an advantage.

The reason is could I do a few guns of emp and a few hybrid and be more effective? With only small weapons being used for tactical strikes destroyers are a great choice and they have 5-7 high slots. Only the number of guns and the type of ammo determine the damage given. Put 2 emp and 5 hybrid on and the activate the emp before the hybrid for a couple of rounds of shield damage and then full hybrid damage.

Mixing guns for OB is a good idea. You don't need a full rack to kill stuff; 5 gun focused OB is enough for everything in the current game. Add two guns for alternative OB with EMP to kill shields in a city fight so your armor tanked ground squad can clean sweep with contact grenades.

There are some fun possibilities if we could get some coordination going where mercs on the ground and two sets of FW squads take systems. We need two because one needs to be at the plex to generate the battle while the other is on district with support.
