Dev Blog: Sleeve Tattoos for Collectors Edition Pre-Purchasers

Haven't tried it yet, but to me these tattoos work just like any other non-standard character item. Permanent only means you're able to keep it even after getting podded. Existing tattoos (face) can be toggled any time as well.

So this highlights the problem that the female avatar poses are just dreadful. Why can't we fold our arms? I'm guessing because boobs and bodyparts clipping, but I don't care. Gief us male poses too or better yet allow us to make our own.

AFAIK just Amazon being Amazon, I recall seeing a lot of posts during the first preorder bonus (Nefantar Thrasher) that people didn't get the code - and they all were Amazon customers. Not sure if they got it later or if the issue is still unresolved.

We got it eventually. ...but CCP had to move heaven and earth to do it. They were all over it but Amazon kept screwing it up.

Do keep in mind that the pre-order page has this disclaimer under the sleeves:

People who have them at this point can really cash in. The current "buy order" prices in Jita range from 250m-500m with sell orders much higher. I'm pretty sure much like the Thrasher the prices will drop once all of us amazon folks get ours, and will drop even more when available by other means.

That * for the disclaimer is only next to the sleeves, although the statement does sound like a blanket statement so I am not sure if it applies to the Nefantar, Gold Pod and other stuff or not. After the whole Ishukone debacle I would imagine that this should be clarified.

But it could also mean that these tattoos some of us are sporting now aren't exclusive to the CE . Nefantar Thrasher could possibly become available from FW LP store sometime in the future.

However I would assume the Golden Pod is a Collector's Edition exclusive as it isn't, to my understanding, a tradeable item but a reskin of your pod added once you activate your Collector's Edtiion CD-Key/Product Key. But that's just what I think, not definite information I've found somewhere.

The Pod is created by plugging in a special implant (that you can't lose when podded.)

So it'll be tradable, but not once you've used it.

What i'd like to know is;
Will these tattoo skins be available as a .Jpg so we can see the whole of the work? Im interested in getting either drone or prototype on my RL arm (need to cover existing work otherwise nature would be cool)
Yes it's a ingame tattoo for my character but why the heck not, tattoos should mean something to the person getting it and this would mean a lot. It would compliment my other sleeve.

CCP Doom I'm looking at you here. email me the work :)

I think it's like the other trade able clothing
If you don't use it, it's an item in your hangar. (And when you get podded with it equipped, you keep it)





The issue that I think he has is that while other clothing items like shirts and pants are removable and can be swapped out (with purchased clothing pieces moving to your item hangar when removed) the use of the word 'permanent' and the (generally) permanent nature of RL tattoos, he's wondering if (and/or when) you decide to remove the tattoo, if it becomes an item again in your hangar that can be sold on the market, or if it's gone forever.
This is precisely what I'm asking, even if it's bound to one character. I'm curious if I bore of the sleeve tattoo, are the others available (or do I have to select one of the four when I get it) and is it permanently on my clone (vs being able to change my blue face tattoo, for example. I can always change and have NO face tattoo, then have it again, etc.--what can I say, I'm indecisive? :))
