i bought eve through steam on my desktop, when i stat steam it auto signs me in. I went to play it on my gaming laptop -in repair at the time- and it asks me to login. I was never asked to make a password, i tried my steam info but that didnt work. I went to the sign in as steam on the website and it says my username is: steam user. How do i find out my login info? please help.

If you bought the game via Steam, you must use the EVE Launcher to log in. It will handle authentication with Steam and automatically log you in, allowing you to subsequently start the game.

How can I download Eve via Steam with my existing subscription and get the better offers and benefits of that customer? I am both a customer of Eve and Steam, but I subscribed diirectly to CCP and now get dumped by CCP on bonuses and offers and stuff.

I've bought my game through steam but I still have to write my eve login to actually get to play... I can also start the game from exefile.exe without using the launcher.

Wormholer for life.

Yes but you also get the benefits that we don't get. Such as cards now, and probably better benefits in the future that CCP will pass on us. Seems they value your custom on steam than us directly.

I tried to download the 14 day trial with Eve on Steam as all you need to get cards is have it run in the background, but there is no longer a 14 day trial download that I can find even with searching and clicking Free demo but it only goes to the pay page for the full product. Meh meh.

People who bought EVE via steam before the Steam integration that was done with the EVE Launcher won't be able to use their Steam credentials to login since there's no association between your Steam account and an EVE account.

Steam users who purchased EVE via Steam after this integration won't have a separate username or password to login with, since the EVE Launcher handles authentication with the Steam servers.

I don't know anything about the current offers on Steam or anything to do with the Collectors Edition I'm afraid since it's not my area.

Nope, as pointed out in the other thread.

Please keep the discussion on topic, though.
