I actually read all of that, I want that amount of my life back now. EVE is a dangerous place, gatecamps happen. Sure, they can suck if you're caught in one but they're not infallible. As you've stated there are ways to predict them, those ways aren't surefire but neither are the chances that a gatecamp will actually catch you. If you're having that much trouble with them, stab up, cloak up, and/or travel with friends. Anyone traveling alone should always be prepared to lose whatever they're flying to a camp.

You'll hear a lot of "eve is hard" arguments from the most noisy group of Eve, the gank bears. Most of them are too short sighted and stupid to realize that safer entry into dangerous space means more people in dangerous space. But gank bears don't like that, they want to keep Eve PVP simplistic and dumb, as it suits them.

At least read the OP before commenting. You may find EVE easy but give reading lessons a shot too!

Having read the OP in its entirety, I can safely say that bullet points are your friend. Once I actually understood the point you were making I came to the following conclusion: there is no problem here. You even admitted it yourself, look!

I am not against sensor link modules and would not like to see them removed from the game; they have a place in the game an if I am caught out by a group of ships fit to work together then that's the game and so be it.

Might want to take your own advice there, he was more or less agreeing (or at least sympathizing) with you.

Oops, now I've read the comment more thoroughly I can see that you were right, although it is a little oddly worded. Anyhow, I've still yet to get a constructive reply on this topic that isn't tongue-in-cheek.

The main crux of my OP is not sensor link modules but GATE MECHANICS. I don't really care how other people play EVE. What I do care about is a mechanic that lets pilots sit forever on a gate and feed off of a constant supply of unsuspecting targets. And yes, those two sentences are contradictory but there IS a point there.

Sure, once you tell me how often you construct starman arguments.

Maybe you should fit a Hyperion, jump into the gatecamp, and destroy everything in sight.

Or, you know, not jump through gates un-scouted in a ship that has no way of evading a camp. Either could work.

and some other seems too short sighted and stupid to actually think we want more ppl to enter into dangerous space.

where i live, we are NBSI and kill everything we can, for many reason.

we aim to secure "our" space so our non pvp pilots can do whatever they have to do (pve / industri / mining) in the best safety we can provide them with, and this include avoiding neuts buzzing around, because a single neut could be a cyno / threat etc...

you got killed while entering a lowsec pocket, well if it is ours, if you decided to not come back, i would say we fulfilled our task.

We do need some sort of "stargate probe", so we don't end up using throw away trial toons or toons with <900k SP in rookie ships as scouts
