I don't get the point of this thread. All those portraits and names you see in-game are RL people who have 1000 different personalities morals and ages.

Saying that pirates are meant to classy is like me saying that miners are supposed to be humble "ROFL" and we both know that's BS.

There wasn't any point. I wasn't even interested in hearing other people's opinions on the matter. In reality, it is a thinly veiled rant, albeit a very tongue-in-cheek one written from a conceited standpoint of dubious moral superiority to point out some well-known, but little considered truths about a particular social cross section. Others got that and played along. Odd that you didn’t, but I wouldn’t want to infer anything by that.

If you have a monocle IRL and EVE then you're most certainly classy. That said, you HAVE to play EVE whilst wearing the monocle otherwise it's just shenanigans! We all know that only classy people wear monocles.

I'm jealous. Although I enjoy piracy and may or may mot be classy ( it depends on my current alcohol levels) I suck too bad at EVE to afford a monocle.

As for the hair, unless you want dreadlocks, there is only one race that gets long hair for male characters, and that's the pure Amarr bloodline. Given there is only one style like that, it's highly likely I look like Cane

Im glad there is a difference... I cant imagine sitting on a gate popping targets with battleships would hold my attention for too long Lol

I actually have had some amusing encounters with pirates.. in the spirit of the thread ill describe one...

My small frig group was capping a FW plex in black rise when a few pirates dropped in ontop of us. We all got away except for one ( thank you, D SCAN!). The guy who didnt get out was no match for what came next, but when they got him into hull, they stopped firing and said "Tell us a knock knock joke.." It still didnt end well.. but at least it was somewhat funny.

So... there are a few "classy" pirates out there lol...

Perception is 9/10 of the law in life and in Eve. If you are perceived as your average douche with no standards or ethics of combat it really diminishes your influence and perception others have of yourself or even your group.

Shadow Cartel has a very strict set of guidelines when it comes to things like 1v1's or ransoms. Essentially your word is held to itself. You ransom someone? Better honor it. 1v1 and losing? Better accept defeat in an honorable fashion than risk the reputation of the Alliance.

Take for example yesterday I lost a couple ships in 1v1. Nothing major but it was good sport and very close. I even spoke with both pilots on fitting (only to find out both times they were dual asb fit x..x) but regardless. Better to show maturity and restraint than childish attitudes.

Lol tbh some of the other mates make me feel awkward. As it should be. I still feel terrible not taking heed to your accent yesterday. People were laughing so hard at my spaghetti ; D

Also omfg guys go eat spicy nuggets from Wendy's. This should be official pirate munchy food. Thats right I'm browsing the forums on my phone like a boss at Wendy's. Lol
