An Amarr themed pleasure hub in Caille city, was attacked by a group of protestors, claiming it was offensive to their culture!

"Helga's House of Horny Holders", run by an ethnic Amarr citizen of the Federation, met a storm of protest from some ethnic Minmatar citizens, over the alleged activities held within.

"I heard Gallente people pay money for that Amarr woman to tie them up and beat them with objects!" said one outraged Brutor citizen.
"This offends all true Minmatar people!" said an angry Sebiestor citizen.
"All Amarr culture is an offence to right thinking people!" said a Vherokior citizen.

"Ja, Ve do tie some Gallente peoples up, but it is just akting, it is not serious", said one of the ethnic Amarr staff.
"Minmatars, by 'eck, tha' complain about t' slightest thing", said another Amarr staff member.

A Caille police spokesperson had this to say: "These Minmatar people always come out of Little Matar, into Amarrtown and cause trouble. The ethnic Amarrians aren't hurting anyone here"

In the cultural melting pot of the Federation, some parts melt quicker than others!

First off, I have to say that I seriously doubt that these so called ethnic Amarrian staff members actually have any Amarrian Blood in them.
Second, If they do have Amarrian blood in them, then they need to make a pilgrimage back to Amarrian space to atone for the sin of working at this...."Pleasure Hub".

I am more to believe that this is just some sick Gallente Business person's idea to make money by tricking people into thinking this is how an Amarrian acts, which I can say Amarrians do not act this way, and if one did they would be answering to the Theology Council quite quickly.

So obsessed with blood...maybe your superiors should have a closer look into your beliefs. I hear that such blood obsession in the Empire is....unhealthy.

They might very well be real ethnic amarrians, Mr. Ry. It is unfortunate... but often not much else can be expected of those who turn their back on their rightful Lord and His chosen...

And even suffer the insolence of those beasts.

Yes, this is very offensive! The mere thought someone would pay for an amarrian woman. Amarrian women do that stuff for free. Just about any man knows what happens to poor Brutor men when the holder is out of town.. Not entirely enough to redeem on the whole slavery thing, but it's better then nothing. Of course the Amarr all seem very pristine and devout... but when the lights go off the freaks come out...

but of course that's only hear say, I am sure..

This is a can of worms to be sure. To each their own I suppose, although if it upsets the Amarrians I can't really complain.

Thought my brother was just drunk of his ass when he mentioned such a place after one particularly long bender...

I've never heard any Amarrian speak like that.

Yes, that was my initial thought in regards to this report.

Where exactly is this pleasure hub located? I want to go for a personal visit to make sure if these accusations on poor Amarrian women are true or false.

Sounds like a cheap knockoff of the "Helga's House of Pain" that I kept hearing about in the Impro station in Goinard.

Must have been a pretty popular place given the number of times I heard it mentioned in the Last Gate when Veto was based out of the system.

Tying people up and beating them with objects?

Sounds like that Cult of the Lash mob, one of the Sani Sabiks.

Just shows you that the Federation harbours far too many Sani Sabik, and something should be done about that.

Amusing. Not just the article, mind, but all the private little psychoses that people are displaying in reaction.

I've spent some time in the Federation, and I can comfortably say that these kind of establishments are an intensely Gallentean concept. They just pretend that it's an Amarrian one, partly as an excuse and partly because it plays into the kinky fantasies of their customers. I wouldn't be surprised if (assuming the article has any basis in reality, which is probably a stretch) those involved actually were ethnic Amarrians by blood. If you're the type that gets off by being punished by a scary lady, it'll probably work better coming from one of the supposed masters of pain and discipline, no?

Intensely silly, of course. But to each, their own.

Like much of gallente "culture," a tepid and pale imitation of the real thing tends to bring in the street rabble. Just like the imitation Sabik found throughout plenty of dark and faux-serious gallente nightclubs.

Perhaps I'll have a few of their patrons kidnapped to show them how a real house of pain operates.

A melting pot produces homogeneity, and Caille is anything but homogeneous, nor is that the goal of Gallente multiculturalism. Such conflict as this, when kept from boiling over, is good for the city and its people. Where else can ethnic Amarrians, Minmitar and Gallente engage in such a dialog?

Many of us don't. Not one bit. That statement is crass and racist. The "police spokesperson" who made this remark needs to be disciplined.

Regardless of "Target" of the act, I can offer only empathy to anyone having their culture reduced to some sort of ludicrous carnal fantasy. It's perhaps the Federate habit that I care for the very least.

To be quite frank, I'm surprised that it's the Matari that have taken offense, and not the local Amarr themselves.

I for one will proudly admit that I have been paddled by an Amarrian 'mistress' on more than one occasion. While I may detest the Amarrian culture of slave owning, who doesn't like a beautiful lady who's good with a paddle?

There is a major difference between a mature, personal and consensual encounter and the practice of slave owning/keeping.
