Was the 30+ catalyst blob multibox rolling through Osmon. I can't begin to describe how jealous I am.

60 million ISK (or less) to gank pretty much anything worth ganking in highsec "solo." No need to be choosy about targets, just undock, warp, asplode something and collect loot. The amount of win for the buck here is simply off the chain.

It gets better -- this tactic is feasable with trial accounts... I mean, eve runs on $50-to-free crappy old machines, so its eminently possible to pull something like that off. Expensive in terms of power, but the sheer quantity of bang/buck goes from simply amazing to utterly unbeatable.

It is now possible to "burn jita, and every other highsec system" solo.

Do want. Do want very much.

Run a locator agent for WWII Payback Nardieu, WWII Payback Yvormes, WWII Payback Tivianne, WWII Payback Ormand, WWII Payback... Well you get the point. Show up and take pictures yourself, I'm not a newspaper reporter.

Heck, I'll save you the locator fee. They're camping the Inaya gate of Osmon this very second.

Hopefully this finally gets ISBoxer banhammered. Will be well worth the person's while if it does.

OMG, Saturday Night Palsy. That's proof the person running this is from Melbourne, Australia and at least 30 years old.

Interestingly, it's not me.

Except for that whole, you can only log 1 trial account in at a time thing... and ISBoxer being restricted by its one computer environment; I guess you have a point.

In the past it was possible to launch more than one trial with the 'safe mode' launch, even on Windows. Not sure if that changed in the past few years. Also, I said nothing about running the trials on the same machine. If you're thinking it's limited by IP or network address checks, there's always transparent proxies.

As an aside, with Linux it is absolutely possible to run the eve process under wine as multiple users, and I'd be willing to bet 10B ISK I could get 2 or more trials to run simultaneously on the same machine. Might take me a few hours, but I know I'll be able to do it. Might be just as easy with Windows multi-login/hotseat support as well, but I know far less about that OS.

Also with Linux ISBoxer is not needed, replicating input events to arbitrary windows is about 20 lines of code. Probably the same for Windows, since synergy runs on all popular desktop windowing systems -- and since it's open source you should easily be able to write an input forwarder your OS of choice without too much trouble.

Computers are all black magick and what not to me, so while I'm sure it's technically possible, that seems like a whole lot of effort I'm not willing to pour into running catalysts.

I'm 75% sure the first two palsy guys were not part of the gank fleet. I think they tagged along to get on the killmail. They did 2x the damage of all the other catalysts, were older, not in the same corp, wrong naming convention, etc etc etc. And when that Boston guy was mouthing off about other random stuff in local earlier he just didn't seem smart enough to come up with this genius scheme.

Now that I agree with. Which is why I'm both jealous and impressed, and will at least make a token effort at replicating this as soon as bittervet fully kicks in, and not as a full time thing.

Impressive, yes, but it's not economically worth discoing 30 Catalysts.

Who cares about the economics? The battle report will be entirely entertaining. That's enough for me. Twisted

OK, yeah, that's not a properly piratical way of thinking. Look at my handle - Do you think *I'm* all that worried abuot economics..? Blink

You're wrong. It takes about 600 mil per day to run that blob of Catalysts.
