Yeah, I've read all of your replies to the OP, the reply to my post seemed to be the most efficient one. The rest were long winded diatribes about your own preferences.

They haven't been particularly adroit in recognizing the problem the OP and many others have pointed out about the new animation. CCP even replied here and stated "it's not optimal".

So, when you use the /facepalm, its only efficient in action of derailing the thread.

Except, of course, that they have already stated that they are aware people are being affected and will address the issue... so your initial observation that "apparently CCP is going to stay the course" is completely false.

The rest of your post goes downhill from there.

If they haven't done anything about it so far, what makes you or anyone here think they are "aware and are addressing the issue"?

I don't see that anywhere in any of their replies, though I did see where they thought giving players options was a "cop-out".

Also, IF my post did go downhill, it didn't take quite as downward a track as most of your posts have... that's for sure.

Back on topic, please.

The only one who seems to have wandered off from the point lately is you.

Here are a few posts you seem to have overlooked.

Wading into a can of worms I'm sure, but here goes.

We ARE looking at this and considering what we can do. The back end system used by the client has changed which makes a "turn off" not a real proposition. We are looking at ways to reduce the nausea reaction some players are experiencing through other means.

It would be helpful if we got feedback about what in particular during the jump sequence is causing the most difficulty

I am sorry for those adversely affected,.

Or the ever popular:

Here we go again.

We ARE looking at this.
We are in the process of tweaking camera and FOV changes occurring in jump tunnel, the pre and post tunnel camera work as well.

no eta yet, as this is a slow process - especially with summer upon us and various people going on holidays.

And while we are at it, lets clear up your misconceptions:

Simply adding the ability to "turn it off" is a cop-out, and leaves us in the position where we have a sub-optimal animation in game that some people are unhappy with and choose not to use. The jump transition, much like the warp tunnel, is here to stay as a replacement for loading bars, and therefore it has to be good for everyone, and has to function as intended.

We will stress though, that we hear your concerns and we're in the process of exploring various avenues for resolving them that include work on the camera and work on the animation itself to smooth it out and alter how it flashes and scrolls, however this is something that will take time and won't happen overnight.

They cleverly hide this information in the Dev posts scattered throughout this thread. You can access them all by clicking the blue EVE DEV icon from the thread title or on any of the individual dev posts.

I saw all of the CCP replies, and I know how to use these forums.

The ENTIRE point of my post was "giving a +1 for an OPTION TO TURN IT OFF. Nothing else. Anything I said from that point was my opinion.

From what I've gathered by reading your signature, you seem to be a real Eve pro, so you have clearly put me in my place. I have nothing else to say.

Less than five minutes remaining on my sub and I'm not coming back, so enjoy your game!

Worst thing is that we are at summer, most players can invest more hours on EVE... and some can't because of this animation.

I do log more in EVE since one week because I got more free time, but still I can do only trading/afk-hauling, so most of this time isn't used for interesting activities... And now it happens frequently that I launch an another game while EVE is still working just because I forgot that I launched it.

When Odyssey was about to be released, I thought that I would use my free time in a better way, so naturally my frustation level is going up.

God bless Valve, there is the summer sales on Steam.

Removing obsolete signature... You just lost time to read that =)

Yep, you not alone Smile ...

Yesterday I bought Wargame-Airland Battle for half the price on Steam, great and superbly created, well balanced and super skirmish gameplay against AI. Looking forward playing this and MP, after my CIV game I have going on right at present.

Last day tomorrow then this 3'rd and last account running out. You should hear no more from me before ccp hopefully one day make an on / off option.

Have fun all and fly safe!

Here's a link to the Tranquility Server population statistics. Since the Odyssey update, there has been a noticeable downward trend in the weekly spikes that represent the maximum number of players logged on simultaneously. This is best visible on the 'Past Year' graph.

Our forum discussion offers anecdotal evidence of a problem and relies on a skewed sample set. I think the statistical evidence is pretty clear though.

Anyway, peace. I'm off to the park with a beer and a book. Smile

I'm glad to read that you will be going to CSM8 Summer Summit Mike. Thanks again for your helpful and open-minded input on this thread. I hope you will get a chance to review what has been said from the start and raise some of the points with CCP -- esp. the stuff about taking sisi feedback seriously, etc. Good luck.

Perhaps you should have put "giving a +1 for an OPTION TO TURN IT OFF" in your post if that was the entire point. Blink

Instead you said that CCP was going to "stay the course" and were not going to address the issue, which is completely incorrect (along with the rest of the accusations in your post). Their intention is to fix it rather than give the option to hide it.

I'm replying to 1: Point out that you said something completely different than what you claim, and 2: Let you know that we all realize you'll be back (if you even leave at all).

See you soon. Big smile

Good for you ... I took a glass of red wine with a good movie on the TV box. P

I'm looking also from time to time on these graphs. It seems more evident with Newborn player graphs - Past week!

However, I do not pretend that this will be a lasting trend. But it shows, however, that something are lagging.

At least the wild swing at the beginning.

Please?

CCP please get rid of multi-accounts, dual-boxing, etc. A character should be tied to one player.

For the love of god can we please just have the option to turn off the auto scan of every system we jump into? I like the animation, but please just wait for me to ask for the scan. Unless we are going to start making all of our ship functions automatic now?

I'm already alt-tabbing out every time I jump or hitting f10 because I've given up on ever getting the option to make the puke tunnel go away.

All we want are options. Please?

Giving us options is not a cop-out. Your jump animation makes me sick, so I LEAVE THE GAME instead of watching your animation. Is that your goal?

The more I read the forums over the years, the more I swear. To god. That the typos are intentional mistakes. Part o f the encryption.

The new jump animation introduces too much lag when multi-boxing. is there a way to turn it off? If not, please give us the ability to use the old system again.

If your computer cant handle the warp tunnel graphics, you should consider spending less time and money on multiple accounts, and get a better computer.

The troll is you.

Yes, there are people that get motion sickness from this new animation (me and other people poasting here).

If you love the new animation, and it does not make you sick, GOOD FOR YOU.

Personally, it makes me physically nauseous and gives me migraine headaches, so yes, it is making people literally sick.

Which you would have known if you had even bothered to read a single page of this thread. Next time, please do a little reading before you start calling others "stupid," unless of course you have no qualms about appearing to be so yourself.
